    Femme Screen Name

As a femme, how did you come up with your online name? For me I collect Faeries and well although I don't grow a garden I do believe faeries live in beautiful gardens. It sounded as it fit me. Although I did think about using super girl. Anyway what is your story behind your femme screen name?

    Auriga is a constellation...

Auriga is the charioteer.. okay so its not really femme in meaning..

I'm a big astronomy nut... and as such I just had to choose an astrological nick.

At least it sounds femme... kinda..

That's the story behind my nick.

I used to be Vega.. until other people kept stealing my nick. Vega is my favorite star (yes way before the movie Contact..).. so.. when people kept stealing it, I just decided to settle on Auriga.

Feeling connected on a number of levels w/ the geisha character from the book "Memoirs of a Geisha", i picked this name. Prior to that I had chatted in gay.com under the nickname "Femme".

the name says it all . . .

I am Southern and can be a real ding-a-ling, so what else could I be but a SouthernBelle!?!?!?
Really, I identify with all things that are feminine about the South, and I am from New Orleans. I love cooking, baking, family, talking, story telling, dresses, and big white houses with wrap-around porches and green tile rooves. Do ya think the name fits?

    Selena Kyle

I collected Catwoman comics when I was a teenager. I wanted to grow up and be just like her. Catwomans real name was Selena Kyle. Hence, Selena. I had no problem attaching 2003 at then end when I discovered the site already has a Selena.

And you know what?! She never ever posts, and I have never ever seen her in the chat room. So it works.

Mine is my pen name, which I've been using for about eight years or so.

i dont remember wich came first daisy as a nickname or daisy as a screen name, i THINK it was the screen name when i signed up for my firs e-mail acct and ive used it everywhere ever since
daisy: a flower representing my attatcment to all things green and growing
gem: i have a collection of polished rocks n crystals that i call my gems, it seemed appropriate
9: daisygem was taken (for the original acct) and i decided to add my fave # a # of the goddess 3+3+3 besides 9 has so many lovely mathmaticall properties....

at some point around the same time my best friend gave me the alias daisy stone for a story that she was writing based on her clique of friends at schl, so all of us got nicknames so we could fight thoes dragons anonimously

I used to go by the screen name PixieStix. One time I was trying to register for an online acct and the name was already registered. So I had to come up with a new one.

Little Miss Pixie came to mind all of a sudden. I liked the ring of it so....ta da. It gives me an image of a "Puckish" type character, which suits me pretty well I think.

my name actually originated from a Poe song. . . Junkie. . . the song goes,. . .

"I know how to wear the costume
I know how to wear the mask
I even like the feel of having to ask
I like the sound of your whistle
I like the way you wear your grin
I even like the taste of my will caving in
I'm not a junkie for your love, I'm not a junkie
This is such a sweet collaboration"

To me, that's how I feel about the butch-femme dynamic and how the right boi (whose name is DEFINITELY not drawn2ink *ahem wink wink*) makes me feel. I think it's one of the best explanations I've found to describe how i feel about it yet, and so I just changed your to Hys and Viola!

    Online Name

My online name (LadyFL69) was derived based on:

    Lady:

Which I was taught ‘hardcore’ as I grew up and embraced after I evaluated all other stuff out there (i.e.: I am a Lady, in a sense, as it applies in a dating scenario or the like and/or how I interact in relationships or with a Butch/Dyke).

I adore the Victorian Time Period (without the frilly stuff...just the honor, dress code and mannerisms) and found the public mannerisms of the Lady ‘back then’ very much to my liking so I elected to live it in the real world, have done so for many years.

    FL:

    The state I live in

    69:

Because I do not prefer 69 and in order to NOT forget to explain it to someone, this addition brings about the '69' conversation usually.

I love it all. You femmes sure know how to pick your screen names. Monamee I love yours the most because Pep La Phew is my favorite Looney Tunes character.

    Talking

well believe it or not, my brother used to call me bickie..which turned into binxxie, the only nickname I truly have had! And loving sprites and such.. thought sprite +binxxie was kind of cute so it ended up being spinxxie! Since I am not an uberfemme, nor anything really wildy wild.. thought that name suited me..

My screen name really isn't all that hard to figure out...I'm a tomboy femme, literally. It suits me, though I've been told a lot recently by a couple of the bois on this site that they don't agree. They just haven't seen me in my rough and tumble mode.

"Superfemme" is the name a girl gave me in my LGBT Group back when I lived in New York. I'm a "grrl" cuz I growl, grr.... --heehee Well... you might call it a "purr" that I do, but you can't really stick "purr" into the word "girl" and have it sound cool...

I like the superfemme.....With my picture in the gallery that name would of fit, but I didn't choose it. Besides since I collect all types of Faeries I choose this name. Of course I choose it before even putting a picture up.

FemmeDyke Kinda self-explanitory... I am a femme right through to the marrow of my bones... and a DYKE - political and PROUD. Yes, hear me ROAR.... In gay.com I am thirty2flavours , after the song (Ani DiFranco or Alana Davis) ~ and that song describes me perfect ; " I am a poster girl with no poster.. I am thirty-two flavors and then some...."

    FemmFemme

I wanted a name with Femme in it; it is an important part of my identity. All the "Femme" and BonneFemme names were taken, so I took FemmFemme without realizing that some think that this means I'm into femme on femme action, which is NOT the case!! Nope, plain ol' vanilla, butch-femme relationships for me....YUMMY.

    Femme with a 'tude

This thread brought back a few good memories of my ex. She gave me my nick and it sort of stuck.

I have never had a problem voicing my opinion when I am for or against anything. As a matter of fact, I could probably hold a 3 hour debate with the wall. So whenever I would "voice my opinion" about something, she would always say, "mmmm, I love a femme with a 'tude." And to this day, she will call me up and ask me how her "little femme with a "tude", is doing.
