    Clit size

My Butch has a very large clit. Hy never realized till I said something when we first started having sex about how big it was.
Hy said Hy always thought it was larger then most but I am talking like 10x the size of the average I've ever seen and I've seen a lot(medical field) pornos ect..It's big enough for me to feel it just almost enter me. I wondered if maybe this has to do with extra testostorone while in the womb. My Butch has NEVER done steriods. I wondered if anyother Butches have an extra large clit?
Hy is very masculine body wise and I wonder if this is a hormone thing.

I think that it may very well be the hormone thing. Mine is also quite large. I am also very hairy ( but not a gorilla just more than normal) which is directly related to hormone levels as well. Hope that helps

Clit size has nothing to do with testosterone or estrogen. It is genetic...I have large breast so my daughter will have large breasts...my father was balding so my son will genetically have thinning hair...it's all in the genes!!!

This web page says that one of the side effects of taking testosterone is an enlarged clitoris.

    Testosterone and the side effects

Makes sense to me that an excess of testosterone might just affect someone's clit size.

So Indigogirl... if I have a big clit... my daughter will too? Or my son will have a big penis?

I know that the bald gene skips a generation, so if my son is bald, his son will most likely escape, but his grandson will inherit the gene.

My boobs are the biggest in my family (TY Goddess), and they haven't always been this way (when I was terribly thin they were very small indeed) so I have a hard time thinking that breast size has anything to do with it, since they are mostly made up of fatty tissue and subject to weight fluctuations.

I think there *is* a case for testosterone levels making larger clits actually. I know that Kris noticed a *marked* increase in his clitoris size around a year or so of taking testosterone, and I must say that I have NEVER seen or touched a clit as big as his (not about to share how many I have actually touched in my lifetime before you ask).

I saw a show that talked about HANDS being an indicator of testosterone levels in the womb and the effect it had on athletes (it seems the best athletes had longer ring fingers - longer than the index finger by around 5%), which in turn corresponded with increased levels of performance and success in athletic competitions). They also corresponded to natural testosterone levels in the body. The longer the percentage of length compared to the index finger, the more successful the athlete.

The show mentioned that increasing the levels of T in adulthood had SOME effect, but the major indicator of success in athletes (before or after T) was the aforementioned finger size. An interesting point to ponder. I think it was a BBC show.

No doubt genetics play a part, but I think your instincts are right too, velvetkitten. Have you checked the size of your butch's fingers lately??

My father started balding around age 25 my brothers that are past that age have nice thick hair.

Thank you all for replying and yes I have been doing some research on line today and I think it is in the amount of testosterone...I'll have to measure hys fingers..lol. I am not complaining either way..more for me.

All the people I know, that started taking T as part of their transition, say that it made their clits bigger, so it CAN and does ahve to do with testosterone levels. sorry Indigogirl.

Increases in clit size are a very well-documented and absolutely beloved effect of T on transguys. I would imagine that if the T came in the womb rather than as an adult, it would still have an effect like that.

Of course, Velvet, you haven't said if your butch has an elevated level of T naturally as an adult. That happens about 30% of the time in transguys, because they also have polycystic ovarian syndrome. I'm sure it must happen in butches, too! <smile>

I understand that most balding genes are located in the Mother's side of the gene-pool. So a general rule is that if your Mother's Father is bald or has a balding pattern, then most likely you or anyone taking the male hormone replacement Testosterone will have it as well. Now there are exceptions to this rule I'm sure. It's a pretty good guild to follow. I have both my brother's and Grand Father's (on my Mother's side) balding pattern now that I am on Testosterone. I knew this coming in, so it wasn't a big surprise when within 5 years my hair fell out
Oh, and as for boobage? When I did have them, they were 50 Double I's and both my Mother and Sister had wee boobies. Since I was/am not interested in knowing anything on the genetic history on it I know not were or why I got them, only when and how to got rid of them LOL.When I did have them removed the Dr. had them weighted, turns out I had 15 pounds hanging off my chest.

I can attest to the FACT that Testosterone does indeed play a role in the growth/size of one's cock (or clit if that's what you prefer)

Bit Hun. How are you? Big hug!!!
Actually she doesn't know hir T level, we are going to get that done. It takes enought to get hir to go for a pap. By the way hy does have polycystic ovarian syndrome.

Thank you all for your imput, I was afraid to post because the last site I use to belong too...just about tore into me..saying there's no way that happens naturally, she must have done steriods ect...not very welcoming or helpful. So thank you again!

This is absolutely true. As a former hairdresser, this fact was part of our theory classes unless that fact through additional genetic research has changed in the past 24 years since I attended beauty college.

As for a larger size due to T levels, it IS true for those on hormone therapy that one of the effects is an increase in size of one's "business".

I would think it stands to reason that to some degree, it might be true of bio women with a higher level of organic T in their genetic makeup.

    Heya Hav!

I tend to agree with you. Even before I transitioned, or began T therapy, I was much larger than any of the women I had relations with. The Dr. told us when I was 13 that my T levels were very high for a female. ::laughing because it feels so foreign to even say female in relation to myself::

To be fair though, I can't honestly say whether other 'females' in my family have this abundance or not, cause well, their genital size is not something that they have chosen to discuss with me! Although knowing my mom as I do, if any of them do and told her about it, EVERYONE would know! lol!

    Ok....I did it.

I took a mental inventory of exes, all of whom were butch, or of strong masculine energy, or whatever you chose to label it.

It is IMHO, that MY exes had "big ones" comparatively speaking.

It can not be simply an overabundance of testerone that causes enlarged clits. I know some very feminine women who have larger than the average size clits. I seriously doubt that in their cases one could use the the agrument that they have an overabundance of testerone.

    hmmm

ok, i have a large clit. larger than anybody i've been with (yes, it has been a lot). large enough that my mom took me to the doctor when i was a baby, and asked if 'it' was ok :p

however, my mother did have progesterone injections when she was pregnant with me, due to a history of miscarriages. i was born with lots of hair (which fell out, thankfully!), and a clit that makes me so happy.

still ... i am quite feminine, so don't really know what this has to do with anything ...

I saw a show that touched on the same subject. It also noted a correlation between the length of the ring finger (in relation to the middle finger) and an increased incidence of certain diseases - like heart disease. A few other diseases were mentioned, all were more common in men than in women, according to the program.

When you are talking about genes, there are dominant, and recessive. Not all genes are automatically a determining factor in your developement anyway. You can have a gene that is commonly found in people with a disease and never actually contract that disease. There is too much room for speculation to say "having a lot of testosterone makes your dick big".

Plenty of bio guys (lots of testosterone) have teeny weenies.

    I was a zygote

After meiosis a developing embryo is formed. The embryo has homeotic genes. This leads to the production of specifically produced body structures...legs, eyes, reproductive organs and even our secondary sex characteristics. The unique combination of our parent's DNA form the genes and chromosomes that make us unique prior to birth. The genes that we have may dominant (expressed) or recessive (not expressed). Basically our genetic make-up.

When I first read this thread I thought it was discussing unadulturated genetic material I did not realize it was regarding chemically altered body make-up so I stand corrected...

I think it's important to say that Testosterone doesn't make you masculine. Many butches that prolly have normal natural "T" levels are very masculine. And I've seen a woman with a four inch clit that was VERY feminine. So yeah, while T level can and will effect your clitoral growth, it does NOT determine your masculinity. Take for instants MTFs, they are exposed to testosterone for many, many years, and still they remain feminine. You can remove my clit, take me off "T" and still I would/will remain masculine. It's what makes me~me. *flex*

T isn't the only roid out there that will increase a clit size--most roids will, so if yr butch has shot up then 4sure u will notice ...however I'm sure that naturally some peepz just have larger clits then others. Mine ofcourse depends on how long it's been sucked, but often I am surprized by how much larger then norm it gets 2...

I am naturally very hairy (grows on my toes). All of that comes off. My clit on the other hand is tiny. However, the hood is large which makes the clit somewhat inaccessible. I think size does matter (I like it) but the variety of shapes and sizes just brings back amazing memories.

    Cool My 2 Cent's Worth!

Everyone who posted their opinion here is pretty much on the mark... depending on the individual it can be due to genetics and it can also be a result of the hormone levels of the birth mother at the time of fetal development... many studies have been done on the latter, especially to the brain... like Kriss, I can certainly attest to how testosterone effect clitoral growth... though I could also discuss FtM bottom surgery, though speaking with some experience here, my advice is that a detachable penis is indeed the best kind...

    didn't see this mentioned...

a friend of mine was just recently diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrom) which one of the symptoms (not to mention a host of many others) being an enlarged clitoris.....<not saying that just because you have a large clit you have PCOS>
she has facial hair...a lot of it, skin tags (little brown moles on her neck), and abnormal testerone levels...all of this made them test her for PCOS......just something to think about

    Tryke's post and other stuff

The fetus has its own adrogens and they can be responsible for enlarged female genitals as well as the mother's hormone levels while pregnant. Apparently, from my research as a woman with PCOS who is interested in having a child, the male fetus is not affected adversely by elevated testosterone, nor does it make his genitals larger than average. The female fetus can end up with ambiguous genitalia from producing more than normal levels of T on its own or from its mom having high T, which I have. MedPub.com is a site that you can do a lot of research on such topics (or any medical topic) which is where I have started on my research. Velvet, glad you think you're lucky! Southern

I am a fem with a large clit, I have normal T levels. I was born this way (I am adopted so no telling what may have happened if genitic or something B-mom took) I happen to feel lucky, although I have had a partner who was freaked by it.
