I got a new boss today...looks to be a good one!!!! <Thank U...looking up at the sky> She sounds pretty excited. I just hope she doesn't give up and settle into any of the old routines that some of the other managers are into

JOB UPDATE FROM JJ.... THE LATEST AND GREATEST NEWS....
Ever hear the phrase "I knocked 'em dead?" Well, they weren't dead but I hope they were impressed. I walked in there with my power suit on and my power attitude and confidence and a smile and... well... lol, they didn't say anything about *not* coming back tomorrow so I guess I still have a job!
It's a temp-to-perm & part-time-to-full-time job (30 hrs/week right now), which I'm able to do cuz I'm living with Mom (thanks Mom!) but they hope to have approval for permanent/full time/benefits at the beginning of the year. Flexible hours, so I can put my child on the school bus, head to work, and get home just about the same time he gets off the bus... gee, how much should I pay my mother for babysitting 20 minutes a day? LOL...
Can we get the old forum back? I like these bells and whistles but OMG it's soooooooooooo slow....

Wow, I got a part time job and disappeared, didn't I. Ok, computer problems were in there too... and thank goodness they put this place on a different server, it *really* makes a difference, don't y'all think?
My new job is... well... hmmm... interesting. Not sure how it's going to work. They are HIGHLY disorganized, there are no procedures in place to do anything, they assume that I somehow magically just ABSORBED all the knowledge about how they do things... had an interesting conversation today with the IS Manager who told me to do something directly opposite of how he told me it was done yesterday. His answer to my query about that? "Well, sometimes I feel like doing it *this* way". ARGGGHGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
And yanno, these yankees keep it WAY too hot in the office. They're all wearing sweaters and long sleeve shirts and I'm wishing I had more thin short sleeved stuff to wear - I keep having to go outside and stand for a minute or two to cool off a bit. Oh, wait, *I'm* a yankee.... forgot about that for a bit, LOL!
OK, off I go to another adventure.... hugs to all, hopefully things will settle down for me enough that I can start posting a bit more again. I *know* y'all miss me, don't ya?
