Dillon62 passed away this morning.

dillon62, or Syl, as I knew him, died today. Many of you knew him from the mini-bash in Minneapolis. I tried to get in contact with as many of his friends as I could, but I wanted to post something here for you to leave your own thoughts and memories.

Syl was a kind and compassionate man. He was involved in the DC queer and trans community for some time. Some of you may have known him as the last owner of Lammas Women's Books & More in Washington, DC.

We have known him as a friend, as a lover, as an ally and a confidante. He was a truly gentle spirit with one of the most generous hearts I have ever known.

Syl died this morning, suddenly, just two weeks shy of his 50th birthday. It looks like it may have been a heart attack. There is no word on a memorial yet.

He will be missed.

I will miss hys laughter and hys quirky but down-to-earth take on life. And most of all, opera will always have a special place in my heart because of hym. Peaceful journey, my friend.

I have not have been part of butch-femme.com long nor have I been a very active member. Nevertheless, my thoughts are with hym and hys family today. Requiescat in pace.
