The invitation to attend Selena2003's graduation ceremony on Sept 15, 2008 in Manhattan... yes .... its official !!! My wife will be a graduate from THE Swedish Institute !!! I can't believe the program will be over in one month ... OMG ... what a blessing !! I am soooooooooooooooooooooooo proud of her !!!

lets see i havent been up to much lately....just getting sick since yesterday...nose running away from me...coughing...sneezing...cold...tired...dying!! i hate the summer!! i mean it's way to hot in GA....flowers are killing me slowly but surely...trees..stuff!!!..and no water front to keep it all at bay!...i can't wait to move to ITALY...damn it...grrrr...anyway...guess i should be off to bed...not like i have to be some where tomorrow no one wants my cooties so i have to stay away!!! thats so mean if u ask me!!

Got ourselves about three days of extreme heat ahead of us
Our Saturday berry picking excursion was a huge success. We came home with 4 six-quart baskets of strawberries.
I proceeded to dip a selection and then Cid and I surprised satin & Rugged with a berry basket and a plateful of decadent dipped berries.
I must have eaten at least a dozen chocolate dipped strawberries Saturday alone
Yesterday we had pancakes with strawberries for breakfast. I also baked a strawberry loaf and then last night it was strawberry shortcake with oodles of whipped cream.
Everyone have a good day back to work....especially since you Americans just had a long weekend....the first Monday back is always tough

Did you all have a fun and safe weekend? I did but I am more excited about this week than anything else. My sweetie and I are taking our first road trip,going to the Bay Area, where I can see my friends and my little monkey! I haven't been up there since I left 7 months ago! I can't wait!!!!!
howdy loungers! just rolled back in from visiting family in chicago. had a terrific time, and got to hold a two month old baby. what an amazing experience! i'm wiped out, but still need to finish cleaning up after the cats -- all of that fur flying around! will catch up on posts later after i've had a post-driving nap.

thanks for the get wells...still sick...my Baby is taking care of me....thankfully cause i feel like i got hit by a truck at 60 mph!! fever chills...the works...poor appetite..grrr...i sleep way to much and now i am up and have been 4 an hour or so...getting drowsy...meds kicking in...nasty theraflu!!!....grr...i hope no one else is feeling sick...sux!!

now for my mom....the test did not come back so good...which has made me have to rethink my living arrangements...my sister has been taking care of my mom on her own...while working full time and going to school part time...she is trying to get her nursing degree...her r n....so after some talking with my huney and my family...I have decided to move back home to help take care of mom while i go back to school also...so between me and my sis we can both take care of mom...this will put me about an hour from my huney.....but we have to do what we must for family......
for all those curious minds yes me and sabra are staying together we will just live further apart and will have rendevous and date nights and do what we have to.....
okay i must get back to finishing packing...my sis and nephew coming today to get some of my stuff for storage...then the rest will be moved sat......

i haven't been on much...cause there are now three using my computer.......
as you have read from Von's post there is a new addition to my household......my daughter has returned to the nest...it has be odd having her around as she has not lived with me since she was 14........so i am getting to know her all over again.....we will see how long is lasts..........she actually went to spend the nighbt at the ex's house.........i can see them getting back together although to me it would be a mistake.........
any way as far as Von moving so far away.....i told her that her first priority is to get her mom healthy and help her sis...we will see each other when we can......i must admit it will be weird after all this time to not have her here...she has been a huge help in my life and loads of fun to be with......i will definetely miss her..waaaaaa....
but like she said we have to do what we have to do............its her MOM afterall.....and i would do the same for mine.....

We then walked to Lincoln Center and had lunch at a wonderful Mexican Restaurant called Rosa Mexicana ... food was out of this world!
Now I am home ... relaxing ... and Selena2003 just left for work ... I miss her already ...
At 4-ish I need to go pickup the munchkin and bring her home ! Looking forward to some 1 on 1 playtime with her ... the kid is so fun !!! I must say she really lights up my life
Also I need to call Ms Itty to see what she is up to

i went and wrote my motorcycle license this morning and passed so now can go start riding and sign up for the course in September

Hello to you as well my friend. Not much new to report and yes, my first surgery is Aug. 5 to remove my gall bladder and stone. We can't set a date for the spinal surgery until we see how I recuperate from that. Being diabetic I don't heal as well as others. The last time I had surgery I ended up on home nursing for 6 months and almost lost my right arm to the staph infection I contracted. To say that I am nervous right now would be a HUGE understatement!!
On a happier note, our very own KitKat & Cid came up on Sat. to bring us some lovely, fresh and oh soooooooo sweet strawberries! Thanks so much for thinking of us you 2!!

well, i'm afraid that i'm not exactly smiling with you butchlei. i just had a manuscript rejected from a journal. guess i shouldn't be so shocked by it -- i mean my first two manuscripts got through the review process a-OK. so i'm just a wee bit bummed. i'll submit it to another journal, but it's still frustrating all the same.

Hi everyone !!!! Its Saturday and today we did a couple of fun things
First we got up early and went to Panera Bread for breakfast ... Gabby ordered a pumpkin muffin and Orange Juice ... lol ... this kid amazes us everyday ~
Then we went to buy Gabby a new ballet outfit and ballet slippers ... she is taking a class every Wednesday from 6 to 7pm ... for 2 and 3 year olds... its good her mommy "volunteered' to take her ... LOL
We also stopped by Old Navy to get some jeans for Selena2003 and I ... my Goddess! ... I haven't bought clothes for myself since I can't remember ...
We bought some lunch and came home to spend the afternoon together and relax ~
Selena2003 decided to put together the baby bicycle seat I bought her last week ... she has been working on getting it on the bike ... Gabby is anxious waiting to try it out

hi loungers just trying to make sense out of the days events...i got a call this morning that a friend and coworker of mine was killed last nite by a drunk driver...my friend Meredith was at her family cottage and went for a bike ride as she was training for a fundraiser bike ride from Windsor to Grand Bend next weekend to raise money for MS...she died at the scene
