Aleve is my friend right now, lol. Your houses sound cute. The only animal I have around me is my roommate's cat. She is a dark chocolate Calico with white on the tip of her tail. She is one spoiled little cat. He rescued her from the parking lot of the college we work at and she has been around for 4 years. How was your Wednesday? Mine was good, I had my boss laughing at me most of the day. Our Federal Express driver, like's to complain when we send out more than a 5lb box.

Sorry about your tooth ache. When I get my sinus infections my left top teeth ache Makes me feel miserable so I feel for ya. Lets hope the dentist can remedy that pain for you.
I have 2 quarter horses. one is 29 & the other is 27. I ride the 27 year old just to bust his chops.......he is a brat. (my brat) I ride him around the corral and misty the female follows close behind. He has me trained he whinnies at me when he wants treats when he wants his meals & when he wants a scratch behind his ear ..he is a good ole boy. Misty is a little cloudy these days some days she thinks clearly other times she is in a fog. But she recongnizes me still & saids hi with her lil whimper
The sun is out here but the wind still picks up now & again. Jack frost hasn't left yet
Still no bites on the bike however I haven't but it on ebay or craigs list yet. will be going to the jersey shore for polar bear this weekend (jenkinson's - point pleasant)
I'll tack the for sale sign on it there.

hello to all the lovely singles... I have not been in much the last two weeks.. Uni is full on... 4 weeks in and I am making a doco.. a sound piece and handed my first essay in yesterday...anyhow I won't be able to hang in here as much but I will still drop by... there are so many new people in here... very cool... leaving some chocolate.. coffee and tea for the fly by's.. peekers.. and regulars... have a beautiful day wherever you are..

Just peeking in to say hi to everyone! I am just wondering; are there any other 40ish people who find that as you age/mature your list of what you want in a partner becomes shorter than the list of what you don't want in a partner?? LOL.....what I mean is when I was in my 20's if they were hot and loved to dance (and looked like they would rock my world in bed) I was interested. LOL those were the good ole days...and then in my 30's I found that being able to hold down a job was good, and lack of substance abuse was nice, and if they didn't need clearance from their PO office or therapist was even better!! Now in my 40's I am finding that being honest is number one, self-thinking is hard to find, ACTIVE lifestyle is a must, wit is more important that charm, and finding someone who hasn't let life's lessons make them hestitate is becoming difficult. Of course a nice hiney and great hands combined with amazing eyes and kissable lips can make a girl forget for a second...LOL but at the end of the day..............does anyone else ask themselves, am I asking for too much???

I must also add that the intellectual and rationale are at loggerheads with the emotional and devil-may-care attitude. I have a "list" of things that are impt for me to see in a partner, which includes "psychologically stable" somewhere in there; but damn, I just know I'll give it all up for the first hot babe that gives me the time of day even if she were a drama queen-divaesque-high maintenance-psycho bitch.

I like you decided it was honesty and integrity. Stability and sincerity. A heart that understands pain, but not one that has been broken so badly it can never love again. Laughter for no reason. Family oriented not a social butterfly. Active lifestyle but not an endorphin junky. Someone who values health and wellbeing as part of life not something they read about. Total commitment in a relationship with dreams of rocking on the porch together.

What do you know; I think my list may have gotten longer LOL

Hey MickMan, can you clarify this for me as to what you mean by social butterfly? I have often been called that (mostly I think because I always like to make sure everyone at a social gathering is comfortable and taken care of) and I wonder now if that is a bad thing... Just pondering your thoughts...

Hi JeepFemme... you know I SO hear ya...I put up with alot of crap from my ex just to keep the relationship going... Only to realize after I was single I was so much happier...I WILL NOT let my next partner belittle me or make me feel less worthy than they are... Such BS... And NO you are not asking too much.. Just may feel like it when you arent finding someone to meet your requirements.. I am a firm believer in not settling for less than what I need in a partner as it will only end in heartache in the end...

I just turned 40, feel like I am reliving my 30s because I lost them to an abusive relationship ..I am now learning the things I should have learned in my 30s.. I had a 2 year partner who taught me how to love again and how to be loved ... The pain is now gone from that abusive relationship but I sooo dont want a short term relationship now. I am not into one night stands, 3 month heartbreakers (had one of those) etc. I want someone who can put up with this bitchy Scorpio who is very sweet most of the time but NOT spineless... to allow me to grow and experience the things I never got to explore.. I want a dominant personality who can handle my personality and yet be gentle enough to allow me to be who I am.... Honesty, Stability, Humor and a desire to make me all theirs and live my life with them.... ok, feel like I am rambling now... shutting up.. LOL

A social butterfly (my understanding of the meaning) is one who would rathre be off at any and all social affairs than be anywhere else. In other words, if it came down to going to an event or staying home with your partner, you would be out the door so quik! I have an ex like that. She needed to be at everything going on. She was rarely home... and becasue I wanted her to be home I was thought of as abusive and controling.... I just wanted to build on my family and spend time with my woman.
So, I want nothing to do with a social butterfly when it comes to dating... now if I need to throw a party, I will hire one... should make a great gathering LOL

I agree with the intellect and rational aspect of the personality, the sad thing is that it takes time to clearly understand if a person truly have either traits, I find some a good at faking it...lol I had to Laugh Out Loud when I read the "psychologically stable" response, it would be so much easier if we could totally rely on the animalistic lust factor!!!!

I hope for you, my new found forum-friend, that you NOT find the "drama queen-divaesque-high maintenance- psycho bitch" but instead find the attractive, stable, emotionally intact, mature, loving woman of your dreams!

Hey MickMan! I hate to that you compromised yourself, I know that, my last relationship I did the very same thing, only to feel shallow for wanting more. I agree with the "social butterfly" based on your definition; but on the other hand its hard to be in the kind of relationship where two people come together and cut off all social activities and all friends. I believe the key is moderation, and compromise. I found that my last relationship only consisted of being home. Only consisted of the two of us. No friends. No activities. Nothing. I am turning 42 in a couple of months, but I am not dead!!! LOL

Psssst............my list gets longer as I read posts...here...lol I am like, Oh yeah, I didn't think of that...add that to my list!! LOL

It is wonderful that you have picked yourself up and stood up straight--walking towards your life...I am happy for you!

I believe we go through challenges in our lives in a ladder pattern...meaning, that as we take each step up on the ladder, there is a hand that is reaching down that has already took that step and will pull us up, but we must also remember that there is a hand reaching from beneath us that we too must pull up...in that......I take the experiences, and life lessons that can be painful and remember that I can actually "get it" when someone is going through something similar, and who knows...I just might be able to help.

MickMan - so our definition is definitely different so that makes me feel better.. I agree with JeepFemme that you need to balance both but I have always loved being at home with my sweetheart curled up in the rocker. But I am not one to want to just go out all the time.. so I think I understand what you mean now thanks for explaining!!

It is wonderful that you have picked yourself up and stood up straight--walking towards your life...I am happy for you!

I believe we go through challenges in our lives in a ladder pattern...meaning, that as we take each step up on the ladder, there is a hand that is reaching down that has already took that step and will pull us up, but we must also remember that there is a hand reaching from beneath us that we too must pull up...in that......I take the experiences, and life lessons that can be painful and remember that I can actually "get it" when someone is going through something similar, and who knows...I just might be able to help.

Awe thanks so much... Yes I did have a 2 year healing relationship after that.. I really felt like she came into my life for a reason....you know Reason Season or Lifetime? She helped me heal from that mental abuse and become a strong independent woman that I am today... I thank her for that every day. We were not meant to be together long term. We are still friends. I like the ladder image...I am always there helping a friend in need so I appreciate the image... Unkle Tommi has helped me alot lately with questions I have had about my personal growth so in a way he is pulling me up also..

{{{{Zimmy!!}}}} I know EXACTLY what you mean about the antibiotics!! I lost 15 pounds when I was on bronchitis. The antibiotics killed my stomach I couldnt eat.. Then of course the sinus drainage.. That was the worst for me making me sick to my stomach all the time and I get it every year.. Try a generic antihistamine to dry you up.. It might just actually be the sinus drainage and not the antibiotics...

Kinda sad news I don't know if I shared this on this thread yet but my frog died last weekend either due to being sick or the store workers giving me bad info on how to take care of her. So I got a new baby today. A big gecko. This kind bites so he's a no touchy animal again. School is going well I also have four dance performances coming up two of which are solos.

I have an abcess from a cavity, that is why I am on antibiotics. I am over this icky feeling...I just want the shit to go away. I am glad that I am off from work tomorrow, so I can sleep in and relax. The dentist put me on Erythromycin 500mg. To combat the nausea, I am eating oyster crackers and Ginger Ale, with Perrier water mixed in, which is helping.

{{{Zimmy}}} I forgot about the abcess... I am glad you are better... I know it takes so long to get rid of it and the antibiotics are terrible!!! Erythromycin messes with my stomach too.... good idea of the crackers and ginger ale.. definitely helps!! My weekend was great!! See above notes about my gay bois!! They were so good to me.. Never thought I would have a slumber party with gay bois but they spent the entire weekend with me and my roommate... They are so cute!

luckydwg I hear ya about snuggling with the furrbabies. I have 2 and 3 cats (dang icons wont work) and I usually have to push someone off the bed to turn over at night... I SOOO miss a human in my bed! LOL.. When and if that ever happens I am definitely kicking a few animals out LOL... WELLLL probably will have to get a king size bed.. LOL.. The cats have a mind of their own and I love my baby s... Hope you dont have much of a hangover...
