I agree...they are separate animals...But it's not wisdom or common sense that turns me on, it's intellect...Wisdom and common sense comes from living, intellect comes from reading and school.

I appreciate intelligence, too, esp. having a conversation that isn't about fluffy (though there is a place for that). I have schooling and read widely. I'm a freelance journalist and an author. But in my life, I've run into some intelligent people whose knowledge had no practical application and some who like to talk a blue streak but really didn't say anything. Intelligence has to have substance.

Agreed, Intelligence without substance is mundane and boring. Unfortunately, what you say is true, we all know someone who just seems to "know it all."

But that really isn't what we're talking about here is it? Intelligence, in this case, is being used in the context of sexual preference. It's the attraction that causes the initial chemical reaction, hopefully wisdom and common sense will dictate whether or not to stay beyond the attraction.

Well, I'll jump in here: I'm fairly newly single from a disastrous 11 year marriage (to a TG butch) and totally loving life again.
