i am not having a great day. I a grumpy which is a pretty common event for me. As a child I totally emulated Oscar the Grouch. Anyways I do not know if it is the Spring or a lot of stress in my life but I have been seriously thinking about gryls. ...saw '300' at the cinema last week . a trifle disappointing , cinematography stunning , the fight scenes fantastically done , but the heavy -handed macho-ing up of the spartans was unnecessary, especially considering the duplicitous nature of the sexuality of the spartans , .... there was also a totally gratuitous "explanation" at the end....highlighting the differences between the brave spartan "men" and the dubious , soft persians....liking silks , golds , luxury to somehow less masculine behaviour.....fantastically comic turn by the gigantic drag queen playing zerxes (sp)...the self -proclaimed god-king.... som,e laugh out loud moments and some real groaners... overall ... it's definitely a film for 15 year old lads!!

...hoping to see "sunshine" on wednesday...so will let you know what i think....

...and am currently reading....An Emergence of Green...by Katherine V. Forrest...an gentle sweet tale of emerging lesbian love..very engaging , witty , intelligent and easy to read...it's my "couple of chapters before bed if i'm not too tired" book...i'm about half way thru so will give my final verdict when i've finished....
