Hello Starfire, Hellboi, Dean Ga and fellow lurkers,

Been in an internal loop I can't seem to step out of, health wise not doing so well, increased pain, less mobility, blah blah blah. Have moved to a warmer climate, so am out of the worst of the cold weather this year.

Making more dietary changes to see if it will help the inflammation challenge, will go caffine free by the weekend, that should help with dehydration issues.

My Little Mister is not doing well. MiMi is still growing and having a party murdering all in her path. She is quite the tree climber as well. Much to my horror.

Love to all, kisses and hugs to anyone who wants/needs some.

Shy, PK my best to you both.

I'm doing quite well, for the most part, StarFire. I've gotten as much increased range of motion from PT as I'm going to get..and I'm adapting quite well to my new limitations..which of course means I've figured out how to get things off the top shelf of my closet with one arm. (I just pull on it with my left arm, then let it drop..if it breaks..well..then I didn't need it all that badly lol)

lol..I reckon I'm like ants at the picnic...annoy the heck out of folks when I'm there, but if I'm absent things just don't quite seem right lol

I'm sorry to hear you're not doing so well, Rhoda. I hope things improve for you shortly.

    Hey,
I took a pretty nasty fall getting out of the shower about a month ago and tried to break my wrist and only suceeded in spraining my wrist to my shoulder. That seems to be healing well though. Its my hip and right leg that is not fair well from the fall, so today finally they are doing some e-rays, but I don't think they will show much. My leg seems to take on a life of its own at night and tried to kick the dog out of the bed. (he's not real happy over that) They did change my pain meds over this from codeine to long lasting morphone, that seems to help with the pain more, been walking with a cane most days sense the fall. Will keep in touch off to PT.

I'm glad to hear that your surgery went well. It's sad that there aren't many people coming here any longer....Shy really loves this thread, life has gotten a bit hectic for us, but at least one of us checks in....How are things going with you?

Starfire how are you, how have you been feeling?

I used to be semi regular on this thread, and found it so supportive. *waves* maybe if we bump it people show up?[/QUOTE

*BUMPBUMPBUMPBUMPBUMPBUMP* Is this thing on?? Anyone here?? *tapping mic* HELLO?? Where has everyone gone? Ok, so I haven't been on for a long while. I've been a little busy trying to stay alive and in one piece. To date: Two major surgeries, a splenectomy and a laminectomy, six broken ribs and eight months later, two more broken ribs for good measure. I am a klutz and I seem to fall down/trip/fall out of my wheelchair or scooter at the drop of a hat. Seriously thinking about getting a seatbelt and airbags installed on my medical scooter... Hope everyone's doing at LEAST ok. Shy, Primo,Femme-licious, Laree and everyone else, may life be good to you, may your step be light, your laughter sincere, and your smile never fade for no matter how bad things seem, there's always someone who's worse off than you are.Things can get rough sometimes, but we can overcome adversity as long as we BELIEVE we can...

Its been a long hiatus peeps! What up? So long and thanks for all the fish...lmao...now to say hiya and much love to every body who is kicking names and taking ass!! Yeah, thass how we do!

So my up date, for any and all. Last ya'll heard, dunno...been awhile is all I can remember. So I will pick up with dum dum dum...right shoulder rotator cuff surgery, last Oct. 5th. Pretty horrendous. Not my idea of a good time. Moving along to Jan 3rd, I go to the walk in clinic at night, as I have been working for about a week as an office manager for a tow company, and get an x ray of my right foot. Yep, stress fracture. So I have surgery on Feb. 17th, to stabilize the fracture. Boss lets me go, too much of a liability...blah blah blah..

Ok, gotta stay off the foot, April 25th, rotator cuff surgery, again, FTW! The first surgery failed. Never healed internally, the surgeon's knots came untied or broke, and I had to have another surgery. So boom, still dealing with the foot. Guess what? Need a bone growth stimulator applied to the fracture, as the fracture will not fill in. Refuses adamantly to lay down any new calcium. So I have to wear that god awful frankenboot in public, and supposed to at home, supposed to stay off of it, and 40 min. a day, bone stimulator. Now the shoulder thing, that is a new kind of hell. I couldn't figure out why I was having this rabid animal pain shoot down my arm, why my hand would flail about like it was posessed. Had an EMG/Nerve conduction study done last week. C5, C6, C7 have all gone tits up, and are affecting the arm. YaY!! Hey, at least it is NOT the surgery.

So mean while, back at the ranch, my wife has gotten accepted into the Masters of Public Health program for Epidemiology at LSU, and has been in school a week. This means she drives an 1.5 hrs in the morning and at night 3 times a week to New Orleans, and I play house while she is gone. Be a nice time for me to catch up on lotsa who am I kidding, everything I haven't been able to do because she has been watching me and now I am free, I tells ya free....muawahahahaha

Hey ya'll, take heart. This is our chance to count to potato. If not now, then when. I am gonna laugh over the spilt milk, that I spilt, when the dog climbs the fence in the back, I am lure him back with tuna, and tell him he is brilliant, and when the wife gets home, I am gonna be so glad to see her, its gonna be fire works.

This is our time in the sun, yeah we hurt, we have sorrows, we cry, we grieve, we have gains and losses. But then we get a sparkly, a pretty shiny thing that banishes just a bit of that dark, and look, there went a bunny! Love to each and every one of you, and happy Caturday!

Please pray for my Mom...the cancer has returned for the 3rd time!

I know it has been quite a while since I have posted and for that I apologize. I know I have asked for your prayers, well wishes, thoughts ....whatever positive energy could to my Mom...and I am here to ask for it once again.
In Sept. Mom had a couple of falls that ended up with her in the hospital with 3 compression fractures. During a CT scan it was discovered that her back had numerous tumors. Her cancer is back, only this time we don't know if it is the breast cancer that has metastasized, or the angiosarcoma. She was in the hospital for over a month where is got 10 radiation treatments on her spine. The cancer is NOT in her spinal column thank goodness and at the time of the scans, it was no where else.
She then went to an rehab place to get stronger, only that was no help, she has developed more confusion from the high doses of pain meds she was on added to the aneurysm she had a year ago. So she has trouble with her memory, knowing how to do somethings....so we brought her back home a week ago.
She is tired, confused not sleeping well or eating well. If all of you here could please help me help her with your thoughts my family and I would greatly appreciate it. She says this one is different, that she is having trouble praying.....please help me show her she is not alone.

    Thank you all so much.

Primo, I just send you the best of compassion, empathy, healing, hope, and may she not be suffering. I am lighting a candle right now, while holding your beloved family in a circle of loving, healing light. May the powers that be find a kindness, and a gentleness for your pain, and sorrow. You are not alone, we are all interconnected, especially on the quantum level. So sayeth the law of quantum entanglement. Take the time to nourish your self, and the honor where you have been. Don't forget to thank your body, mind, and spirit for keeping you safe while you keep your mom safe. Seems nuts I know, but when we can honor ourselves, our burden seems just that bit lighter...not that mom is a burden, just the opposite.

I send out to the frozen North some of our warm sunshine, and southern hospitality. Blessings on your house, Primo from my house to yours.

Hi ya'll. Just stopping by to say I wish you all well, safe holiday and all that jazz. I wish we could have all gotten together with Shy way back. Remember when we thought about getting together during the summer, and having a big ol' pot luck party thingie?

Not sure if I can continue to drive my bus around. Right now it's sitting collecting dirt and cobwebs. Am trying to get rid of all my crap so I can travel lighter. You don't know how much crap you have until you want to get rid of it. I swear, it multiplies in the dark while I am sleeping. Why doesn't it make money instead???

She is tired, confused not sleeping well or eating well. If all of you here could please help me help her with your thoughts my family and I would greatly appreciate it. She says this one is different, that she is having trouble praying.....please help me show her she is not alone.

    Thank you all so much.

Love the moment. Flowers grow out of dark moments. Therefore, each moment is vital. It affects the whole. Life is a succession of such moments and to live each, is to succeed.

Primo, thank you for taking the time to share with us. I'm sure I speak for many of us that we will continue to pray for your Mother, family and of course you and Shyfemmekat.

I will say a special prayer for you and light a candle for your Mother.

    My sincere condolences.
