LOL DC is the mystery judge that is going to grade yours and Thea's postings... so really the other people bribing DC doesn't help their grade because it's only you and Thea that would get the payoff on bribing DC.

Our 2nd place winner is Diva!!

Our 1st place winner is Gemmie!

So we will be starting a new challenge... and our contest winners get to set the challenge...

Hi kids! And welcome to The 2nd Writer's Challenge: The Zodiac Edition.

Here are the rules for this contest:

~ You will select a number from 1 to 10 by March 5th.

~ You will be issued 2 symbols from the common astrological chart (i.e. fish, centaur, twins, etc.)

~ You will ALSO be issued a SECRET WORD which has nothing to do with the Zodiac words.

~The SECRET word MUST be used at least twice, in various forms (ex: fake, faked, fakes) in your story.

~ You will then write Your best stuff in any style You so choose (prose, poetry, short story, etc.). Of course, Your GOAL is to entertain and mystify (I'm kidding.....sorta), enrapture and make us weep (or not).

~ You will then have until March 25th (8 pm Central) to create and submit Your work.

~ Judging will commence by a panel of qualified (and/or mildly intoxicated) judges who may or may not be wearing an official judge's sash at the time of judging.

~ Results will be pronounced on March 30th. Bells will peel, children will dance in the streets and merriment will ensue. (Gemmie wanted parades in various cities.....someone has to be the boss of her.....sheesh!)

~ Prizes will be awarded and they are now being kept safe in a mayonaisse jar on Funk & Wagnall's porch, guarded by a rabid pit bull/rottie mix named Princess Sissy. (You'd be rabid, TOO!)
