We have been together less than a month, and sadly we are apart at the moment.
She is away for medical reasons and I am not sure when she is back.
But I told her that I still wanted to be her girlfriend even though I knew that we would have to be apart.
It hurts to not be with her, especially since I just found her.
But I know that she is worth it, and if I didn't try I knew that I would regret it for a very long time.
So I hate that she is away, but my heart is happy anyway.
Not sure if that is love, but thats how it is at the moment.

I don't know how I knew. Usually it takes me a long time to really feel comfortable, to be sure, but this time I just fell into it.
It just felt right.
Initially I did wonder if it was because I had to make a decision to get involved with him, a decision to give up my ID or not. I realised it wasn't that.
I really cared about how he felt, how it was for him. It wasn't just about me. I didn't want to be stringing him along or holding myself back unnecessarily.
So I let myself run with it and now I'm really happy.
I know for everyone its different..
I have only been in love twice...both times were different..
I knew I was in love this last time cause I could totally be myself..The comfort level and connection between the two of us was amazing..There is a bond that we built that will never be broken even if we are just friends now..When it ended i could pyhsically feel the pain in my heart..I wanted to share everything with her..my heart my soul all that I am..I never wanted to spend a day without her by myside..I dreamed with her of having a house and a family though its not meant to be I loved her with everything I am and everything I had

I think you are right Ink. My perception of being in love is loving that person unconditionally, their faults and all (real or imagined). You would do anything to see the other person happy. How do I know I'm in love? Well I know I get scared of that emotion( not wanting to get hurt). I am happy when they are near, and miss them when they are away. I feel connected and safe. * And I can't stop smiling*
I'm not sure if what you have is love or not? But in my small world - it is.
Love.... is hym knowing I like my cheeseburger without tomatoes, and me knowing hy likes hys with extra ketchup. It is hym doing the dishes without being asked, and me walking the dog because I know hys knee hurts. Love is hym making sure I take my allergy medicine every day and turning on the coffee maker for me in the morning. Inside jokes that still make us giggle after a year of telling them. Love is saving up for that recliner hy wants so badly (shhh! - don't tell! It's gonna be a surprise!). Love is every mundane, trivial thing that we do that makes up our lives together. It is knowing that no matter what happens, I will find safety and peace and passion in hys arms.

I know I am in love when my heart races, electricity shoots through me when she glances at me, and its two years later. When I find myself thinking, wow, how would that look on her? To me,
Being in love is when you don't even have to say it but you have that feeling like its already there. It's when its so much more than just a bonding moment. Like when you talk about the future, and your so in sync its like you share the same opinion. How the distance becomes irrelevant because your making the next flight plan the day after you leave. Devotion, and some serious deep like.
I know I am in love when the physical safety of myself and those around me may be at risk.
Watch out for hazards such as,
An inability to perform even the simplest of tasks.
Not being able to concentrate on any job
And not noticing anything or anyone around you.
