Oh & eyebrows, if you only have one or they look like 2 caterpillars sitting over your eyes that wont last long around me (ask a certain boi around here...he he he).

Just be warned I have had blue, purple, pink, black, orange, poka doted, trilevel, platinum(that one was funny) shaved in the back down to my chin in the front, spiked....I can't think of the others. And yes I use to look very punk back in the day before I started being a grown up working as a coorporate drone.

I work for a NGO; much less bureaucracy. You might look into Jasper Pulaski Fish and Wildlife area. From what I remember of where you live that could be the closest large area with active wildlife management. Check out this site for info on it and other DNR F&W areas. You might also want to check into DNR division of nature preserves. That usually means ecosystem work which is 99% plants. The Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is a bit north, but does have some volunteer programs. Shirley Hienze Environmental Fund, Save the Dunes and The Nature Conservancy all have active volunteer programs, but other the first two are limited in area to the lakeshore rim. There are other environmental groups around, but generally they are smaller with less of a volunteer program. If you're looking to get invoved as a career you'd do well to look for them. If that's the case Land Trust Alliance could have helpful info also.
