The job is going fine. It's been warm the last few days..well, around 50 anyway. The snow has melted for now but they say maybe more this weekend. Everybody here is doing fine & Missy is still on the mend. We're plotting & planning our first holiday together (Thanksgiving) and doing a little Christmas shopping as the dollars allow.

Billy, buddy, I'm so sorry about the problems with Joey. You've bent over backwards to try to teach the boy so don't blame yourself for any of this. He's a good kid who just doesn't have some of the basic tools necessary for handling life & responsibility yet.

I wouldn't be so nervous except my mother had the same problems I am having at my age and within the next year, they did a hysto on her...so I guess it is just nerves. OK..gotta run and brush the teeth. BBL

Kai, I can't thank you and Deuce enough for taking care of the dogs over the weekend. You guys are the best anyone could ever ask for. Deuce and I probably had one of the worst days today we could ever have. It's amazing how something so tragic can happen and everyone pull together so tight. You never know when things are going to happen and I'm very thankfull that I have the friends I do.

Chex it was good to see you and Donna. She's crazy and I think she's really cool. I hope you take care of yourself and hang on to what you got in the Big Apple.

A Detective of 23 years with us had a massive heart attack Saturday night. We buried him today. A Police funeral is the worst you could ever attend. It's just really hard on everyone.

I do miss you guys. I wish I had more time to be in here and catch up. We'll all have to get together sometime.

Yea, I think everyone lost it. They called his number twice with long pauses and of course he didn't answer. Then, they said Car 30, 23 years of service, your duty is done, Car 30 is 10-7. (Which means out of service). How could anyone not lose it. But we all hung together and we'll be ok.

Good Morning all! Ya'll are such a great group of people! Last night was a LONG night dealing with alot of emotions. Chris perceives herself as trying to be the strong one by not showing any emotion which pissed me off. I have ALOT of work to do this week and next so I think staying busy at work is going to help.

Being strong doesn't mean you are emotionless. Its being there for the people who need you when you are needed. Being there to listen, love, and be compassionate.

I have a choice of things I can do this afternoon and I would like to ask which I should do...should I:

1. I have a meeting with GE at 2:30 which will be another long drawn out snooze fest about ice and water.

2. Go to my boss' house which is 2 hours away and look at his refrigerator and assess what is wrong with it. Keeping in mine that its 2 hours away, 2 hours back, plus an hour more for me to get home. I may not get home tonight until almost 7 PM.

I get paid mileage, but I already know from what he told me is wrong with it. We have really bad problems with moisture getting into the cabinets and making everything turn snowy and freezing up. His son opened the windows to the house, and humidilty got into the house, thereby into the cabinet.

No prob....that's my old 'hood so I'm pretty familiar with places to go around there. If you ever want a fancier Chinese place with great food and a more, um, "cozy" atmosphere there's a place called Tang's across the street from Jonathan's that is really nice and relatively affordable.

Good Morning all! I am sooo tired of this weather change..I could scream!
Again I have to comment on how great a group this is. Ya'll accepted me into this thread when I moved here just like you personally knew me. That meant soo much just being able to speak to people on the computer since I didn't know anyone here. If something does happen to Chris and I, I really want to stay in this area for a while. Mycalann really likes it here and I am tired of up and moving her. AND if we break up, don't worry... ya'll will be able to meet me soon..lol Well, I am running late this morning...didn't sleep good...but the office is off closed today. I get to go get tires this morning and then run some ads to the printer for work and then go to work and get paid for putting up Christmas decorations..YEAH!! I hope everyone has a good day!!

There is a place here in Selmer called "The Country Kitchen" that is famouns for its grossness. There was an outbreak of ecoli here (13 cases) and it wasn't specified where it came from in the paper, but everyone knew by word of mouth since this is a small town. De, NEVER eat there!

This woman I worked with got the country fried steak, and she was just about to dig in when she saw antennae moving in the gravy. The waitress picked the plate up and two crawled out from under the plate. Needless to say, she left without paying.

Well yesterday, this guy here from work went there for supper and saw one on the counter...to which the waitress flicked it into the floor. The guy went to step on it and he said "the thing had longer legs than I do and stuck his tongue out at me before I killed it."

De...NEVER eat at the Country Kitchen!!

Ok, so that 2 - 4 inches we were SUPPOSE to get today turned out to be more like a foot....with another foot or so expected by tomorrow night.

I came home to pick up Missy after work so we could go to the grocery....after getting stuck in the driveway we made it to the store. It did resemble Nashville on a snow flurry day. Lots and lots of confused men wandering the aisles, bread & milk supplies being depleted, etc. We loaded up on the necessities (popcorn, cookie dough, sodas, frozen pizza, cigarettes...you know, the important stuff) and made it home unscathed. God bless the Mighty Mighty Tracker! She has darts tonight so we might be going back out.
