Hey Jen :-) I missed you all also!! Big time!!! I would have loved to been there, i missed Jess getting hys groove on i see...hehehe

For the most part, yes, i am doing ok....taking it very slow and very easy tho...no fast anything!! I am so afraid to go into another Vent. Tachycardia!! Maybe i am being a bit to careful, but damn that's some scary shit!!...Not anything i would evenwish on my enemies... they're are few of them, so i guess they are good to go ;) lol .......i guess when it lasyed as long as it did is what the most scary part was, not knowing if this was the last breath or not. 27 minutes of 210 beat per minutes later when it finally stopped in the Ambulance, i was one seriously happy camper, to the point of telling the paramedic to scoot over coz i was gonna do a jig.,..LOL and of course this just had to have to happen on the party weekend, gonna have a talk with the universe about that, not fair, they could have picked a better time that did not intrude with all the partying...lol ;P

I have been going rounds and rounds on the www.abcnews.com boards with this. Fact is, against the Bible or not, that has no bearing on Constitutionality. Our forefathers were NOT Christians. This country was formed for religious freedom without persecution...why would they build the Constitution around it then? The Bible accepts many ideas that are not proper today like Lack of women's rights, incest (Lot and his daughters), slavery. Its a very violent book. Its also a very erotic book. The King, not the church decided much of the values in the Bible, hence the King James version. Many of the churches no longer consider homosexuality a sin. Which is a moot point because we have separation of church and state. The religion being removed from this equation, we are left with the common denominator...opression. I, for one, and tired of being treated as a second class citizen.

I have spent all morning being called a sexual deviant, a pervert, and a sinner in the eyes of God. UGH!

I of course, did not name call. Thats not taking a high road. But I did point out that the Bible does not enter into state or federal law. Just because you don't like something doesn't make it legal to discriminate against something.

Sadly, I think that most of the places that are way cool and accepting are also way cold.

It seems to me that all these people filled with hate, and basing it on the bible, have completely missed the words of Jesus, and the love that he stood for.

I mean, based solely on the words of the Bible, I just can't see Jesus going for all this hate...

It figures that they would result to name calling. If you can't intelligently argue your case....insult someone....if that doesn't work threaten them with bodily harm. Pfft!

I had a professor once who told me that if you have to use the bible to make your arguement, then you don't really have a arguement. I loved that!

Thanks Mugsy,

You know I try to look over it for the most part. No matter what the state or federal government says Deuce and I are married.

We have a home and kids and a life filled with love and respect. So to hell with them. We have taken steps to insure that if something happens, the other one is protected. I guess that is all we can do for now. I just think it's so very sad.

I would put our love and relationship up against any heterosexuals, and we could give them a run for the money.

He said he could save the university money with the maintenance and repair, so he laid off the entire physical plant (200-300 people) and contracted a company which he happens to be friends with the CEO who he ALSO has stock in! I agree that we must be involved and vote. It amazes me the people who bitch and moan, who have NEVER voted!

Jess, I believe that the only reason Lamar ever got the foothold in this state that he did, was because of the blatant corruption in the state Democratic Party at the time....Ray Blanton, the Butcher family and so forth. This state was chock full of Democrats (except for Tri Cities area), before all that.

The Republicans are sneakier about their corruption IMO.

Wal-Mart has just broadened its corporate policy to prohibit bias against gays.

Now, they may already not and just saying for the publicity, I don't know. But they are the largest corporation in America, and that says something. Especially since they ban magazines with suggestive covers and CD's with explicit lyrics.

Republicans are way sneakier (i.e. Alexander, Dick Chaney, etc). Notice how Bush was all gung ho on persecuting CEO's for securities fraud until Chaney was indicted.

I had forgotten about all that Democrat scandal until you had just mentioned it. Remember when Alexander made his bid for President and he said the Iowa Caucas was not important, well "of little consequence." HA! Got his ass creamed for that one.

I read about the Wal-Mart policy change on Yahoo earlier. It goes into effect immediately, the manuals and employee handbooks are being revised to include "gay friendly" language (whatever that means) and there is a new video promoting tolerance and acceptance for management and employees in the works.

Perhaps to include the "hiring without sexual preference discrimination"

Double click on existing name of column, then just type the change...call me if this does not work....If I am understanding your question, and you have the save office version I have, it will work.

Good morning everyone! What a gorgeous day!

I know today is Friday Eve, but I'm so glad its a short week!

Mugsy, I am so happy for you bro!! Best of luck and I'll be keeping it all crossed for ya!

Ok, last night I was at BuffaloWildWings as usual on Wednesday night trying to play this Million Dollar Match game. They pick a number (between 0-15,000) and you try to match the number. It is hard, I have been trying to a couple of months. Well, last night I matched!!! The number was 8001, and each of the 15 questions was worth 1,000. I hit it right on the money! So what happens now is everyone who matched from all the Wednesday nights from may 7th to July 31st (yes, I will be trying again) has their names thrown in a hat and 10 people will be drawn to get an all expense paid trip to Florida to play for $1,000,000. Yes, the chance is slim, but its better than no chance at all! So I figure if I try to match again, I better my chances of being drawn.

Wish me luck!! Patti and I may be going to Florida again!!

I only have a minute as I am on my way to Lake Barkley for the Fourth. My family is meeting at my parents to celebrate the holiday. (I am sooo excited about seeing my neice!)

Mugs... Congrats Man... It was nice getting to hook back up with you again and I want to come visit. (note the confidence in the fact that you will get the job!!)
People lets be safe out there on the holiday okay??

Sunny--gald to hear you are feeling better. Tell SW hey~!!

And finally... as for these closed minded Republican or Democrate individuals that do not understand the meaning of all men (and women are created equal) I think all gays and lesbians should stop paying taxes. If you are not afforded the same rights to your tax breaks and dollars as married couples then why should you have to pay?? Excuse my french but F__K Em!!! It just wrong!!! You should marry and have the right to marry whom ever you want to. The divorce rate cant be any worse than it is now... Thats just my two cents..

Peace and happy holidays

Don't forget that his Church of Satan has tax exemption status because its a religious institution.

Yes, Mr LaVey likes to claim he is a failure of Satanism, but he enjoys tax exempt status.

SO did anyone go to the Fireworks display dowtown? I watched it on channel 4, it was all i could do to not go shoot a firecracker up the camera mans butt...I had never seen such awful camera work in my life!! And goodgawd, Nashville could not get anyone who was not a geriatric to come preform..Brain Wilson (beachboys) sat behind a keyboard and never touched the thing!! His voice was so bad and off...And just to think this was being covered by A & E as well...*rolls eyes* Nashville the home of countryand western, and we only had one C&W singer who sang *the star spangle banner* and poof gone.....i guess we spent all our money on fireworks coz the performering department sure slacking up this year...Altho, Al Green was okay!

It was in Mt. Juliet.

No he has never meet either officer.

It happend during a chase. Instead of hittting the spike strips they hit the officers instead. They were two kids in a stolden car. It's so very sad....

From wkrn news group

Two officers were struck and killed wednesday by a car that was fleeing police in a high-speed chase along I-40 westbound near Mt. Juliet.

The dead officers were Wilson County Sheriff's Deputy John Musice and Mt. Juliet city policeman Jerry Mundy. The two officers were trying to use a spike strip to stop a Mercedes-Benz that other law enforcement officers had been chasing for about 30 minutes when the suspects' car plowed into them, said Beth Tucker Womack, spokeswoman for the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

"They were out of their car laying spike strips," she said. "The car veered to avoid the spike strips and struck the officers and a law enforcement vehicle."

The accident at about 9:50 am ended a chase that began with a report of a reckless vehicle, Womack said. Officers from Lebanon, Wilson County and Mt. Juliet began pursuit when a check of the license plate indicated the vehicle might have been stolen from East Tennessee.

"Both officers were on foot beside their parked vehicles when they were struck by the speeding automobile. Both were dead at the scene," Mt. Juliet city manager Ken Shearer said in a statement.

Two suspects, both female, were in the car, Womack said.

They were taken by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, hospital spokesman John Howser said. He declined to provide any information on their condition.

Wilson County Sheriff Terry Ashe said the women, ages 33 and 21, were in critical but stable condition. Their names were not released.

More than 20 emergency vehicles responded to the scene at I-40 West exit 226. The crash closed the three westbound lanes of I-40. Stay tuned to News 2 at 4 for more information.

How terrible, so many people's lives were wrecked this morning...

The officers
their families
their friends
the women
their families
their friends
law enforcement in general
the public

all to steal a car
insane

People dont think what all will be affected when they do something like that. I was surprised to read it was women in the car, I guess its narrow minded of me, but I just assumed teenaged boys. I wonder what they were thinking? if they were on drugs?

A very very sad day.

ahhhhhhhh...nothing like the smell of new shoes!

I found 2 pair, both on sale, at Shoe Carnival. A pair of black New Balance walking shoes that will pass for casual shoes just fine, and a regular pair of cross trainers (current ones have been worn almost daily for well over a year, I needed them!!). That takes care of my footwear needs for a year or so!

Ah yes, the smell of new shoes.....

Though I go through way more pair in a year than 2....more like 2 a month...heh.

I know some might consider it sexist and mysogynistic to say this (to refer to another thread) but I have a very girly love of shoes, and most of my butch pals are good with a couple of pair.

I kinda like that!

In the other thread, that probably would cause the roof to blow, but this isn't that other thread. And I agree with you...as long as I have the 3 basics covered (sneakers, brown shoes, black shoes) I'm good to go. I will wear them until they die, then go get new ones. I'm the same way with clothes, which is why I don't mind spending a little extra. I have some polos that are over 5 yrs old and still in good shape.

Yes, my b-day isn't until July the 29th, so I don't know what happened there. thanks for all the wishin' though. I must have screwed it up somehow Jodi. Imagine that :P

Mugsy, I flew with my "particulars" in my bag. They made me stand there in the Memphis airport while they went thru the bag. I saw her find them move them about the bag, and zip it up and say "ok...move along." I guess it'll be ok until some terrorist boards a plane with an exploding dick.

Had a GREAT time in Destin. I was either in the water, or under the umbrella. Patti laid the SPF stuff on with a spray. Well she sprayed the front and back, but not the sides so I had these nice red stripes going down both legs. LOL. I enjoyed being on the beach at night more!

Shoes,

I have 3 pairs of shoes that I rotate. I have work shoes, tennis shoes, and regular wear shoes. I haven't bought a new pair of shoes in a year and a half. Those were my work shoes. I haven't bought a new pair of tennis shoes since 97 I think. 97 or 98.

I actually bought AND wore sandals for the beach. Sport sandals of course! Will probably never wear them again. My toes went blind from the light!

Welcome back Jess! Glad to hear that you had a good time even with the stripes..giggle. Thanks for the congrats on the job. I actually turned one down today and accepted the other. I will find out Monday if it is FT or PT. I told her I accepted either way just to stay in my prefered field. She said either way, they will get my contract together and salary package by then and then all I have to do is work on my PT license in MS and TN which they will pay for.

On the "particulars".. I am sure it isn't the first time they have seen anything like that. When I flew to DC, I made sure that I put everything in see through bagies so that instead of rummaging through my things, they just had to pick up the baggies and easily look through it. The woman at the airport said that was a nice touch. *s*

On the shoes.. I have WAYYYYY to many according to Chris, but everytime we go to the mall, she insists on looking for her some and then says, "honey do you see anything you like?" giggle.. I like it that way!

Yea, if only we felt as good when we wake up as we did when we went to bed after a night of drinking.

A woman here at work that Jen and I refer to as "kitten killer" just had another little of kittens. People who dont feed or properly take care of pets, they bust. Dogs used for fighting, people who have pets restrained in a manner which hurts them, all sorts of things. Is a depressing, but great show.

I wonder if you could call the ASPCA. Only thing is, Kitten Killer probably lives in a teeny town with no resources. FREAK.

The worst thing is she is not embarrassed to talk about it at work, its like she is proud of murdering the dogs and kittens.

Evidently the area here in Selmer is awash with kittens. A woman in purchasing had a kitten come up to her house, plus Kitten Killer's cat had that litter of kittens we discussed yesterday, PLUS a man's cat here just had 13 kittens! He'll take care of the kittens though.

Any one hear about Pat Robertson praying to God to remove 3 Supreme Court justices?? What a JERK! I was pissed when I read that. I am sick and tired of being grouped with incest, bigamy, and whatever else. UGH!

Hmmmm...I've found strange things in my pockets before, but never a cookie. Dude, why did you have a cookie in your pocket?

I went to the coffee room to get another cup of coffee...I check my "IN" box and got my stuff. Well, there were cookies beside the coffeemaker. So I slid a cookie in my pocket so I could also carry my coffee in one hand, and my paperwork in the other.

MMmmmmmmm....ramen noodles again....yum!

It makes sense when I explain it...I guess I should have! I don't normally walk around with baked goods in my pockets. Sometimes I'll stick a piece of cake in my pocket. I walk carefully though!

OMG, I usually dont have pockets or my pockets too tight or small for CAKE , so have never had this problem.

Though, in some off way, it does make sense....
anything makes sense if it enables one to get coffee!!!!!

Do the good Christian right-wingers not realize that their blowjobs are now just as legal as ours are, and before they too could be busted for it??????

I guess Pat was praying that Ruth Ginsberg's cancer would come back and take her out of commision so she could be replaced. Or one would die sice they are all over 70. Thing is, the law is the law and whats right is right. Most of the justices were appointed by Republican conservatives. I guess he forgot that. I guess Mr Falwell forgot about his little romp with the prostitute as well. I may be gay, but I've never PAID for it.

Good afternoon everyone! I am enjoying laying around today with one of my babies. I took them both to get their yearly shots yesterday and 1 isn't feeling well at all.
Jess~ giggle.. you and your food stories crack me up. I actually have to admit someting.. this has never happened to me before, but I burnt Chris's grilled cheese last night..lol. She had said since I was out running around yesterday, she just wanted grilled bacon and cheese sandwiches last night. First of all, I forgot to put the bacon on the sandwich before I grilled the cheese and then I let it burn..UGH! I am glad she knew I didn't feel well yesterday..lol
I hope everyone is having a good day!

Yes, cake. Wrapped in a napkin of course. I didn't wrap the cookie because I didn't see the need. Hence I need some oxy-clean :(

If I get a hot dog out of the vending machine before lunch because I'm really hungry, I'll slide it in my pocket till I get to my desk. So I don't look like a pig.
