Okay all you fab Denver area Butches and Femmes:

I'm going to be in Denver for a few days soon and I need some quick suggestions. Please share your thoughts on:

1. A nice hotel downtown. I prefer an independent place but am willing to go with one of the major chains if they really are the best.

2. "Can't miss" things to see/do while there. I'll be there over a Thursday night through Sunday mid day.

3. Queer culture.

4. Other random bits.

Many thanks.

I think you can't miss having dinner with me. :) I don't know much about the hotels downtown so sorry!

Definitely do the Museum of Natural History and Science!

Queer culture would be tHERe coffeehouse/bar on Colfax and then Detour (also on Colfax) and Miss C's (on the other end of Colfax).

How much free time do you have? The COORS tour is a lot of fun too.

Well that's a "can't miss" I hadn't considered. ;)

So what I'm hearing is that Colfax is the place to be for queer stuff, eh?

I'll actually have a fair amount of free time other than Friday during the day. I may have a cocktail even Friday evening, but I'm not sure yet.

Laughing, yeah, Colfax is pretty much Queer central. It's what is called Capitol Hill and that's THE place to be if you are "alternative." When are you going to be here?

The BF community is kind of non-existent here as far as I know, but I know I can get at least Sullengirl to join us. She's a doll!

throwing my .02 cents in on the denver stuff-

If you have the time.. Garden of the Gods outside of Co. Springs is awesome- the lil town of Manitou Springs is alot of fun too, as is Red Rocks, and downtown Morrison-

Not sure about the culture in downtown, other than what Ms Arwen has allready listed- but I can definately help you out with the hotels.. thats what I do for a living here in Denver- I am a General Manager for one of them.
The Brown Palace Hoel and Spa is exquisite, right in the heart of downtown, as well as The Adams Mark Hotel right downtown, both are very gay- friendly and then you have also the chains.. Hyatt.. etc. that are dotted along the streets of Denver.
I might suggest the Capitol Hill district as well, VERY gay friendly and the Capitol Hill Mansion, is a superb bed and breakfast, and within walking distance to everything.
If I can help with accomodations, let me or Damon know.. :)

It's good to be in the arms (and chains;) ) of someone you love who loves you right back.

Sometimes I think I will treat myself to something at the Brown. I'm just dying to have tea down there! :D

Hi there Arwen. Dang, your sick too ? I have been coughing for 2 weeks and all my coworkers are tired of my dang cough. CONGRATS, I read u are now an author. CLAPPING VERY LOUD!!!!!

I made it to Denver and it has been rough. I am adjusting to the freezing temps like ZERO from the 120 degree mornings in Arizona. I have been trying to get settled in and I believe I owe you and Sullengirl a drink. Hey, maybe a nice bowl of chicken soup?

Anyone else going out to any nightclubs in DENVER, CO? If so, are they gay friendly or totally butch/femme club?
HMMMMM, maybe one day................................

I am not big into clubs here because I just get stared at. I look to straight I guess.
