Thanks man.....sincerely. You know, I went to boot camp in South Carolina and as a consequence I never saw all that much of it. When I went home with her I saw the coolest stuff.

My first morning there I got up early and put on a pot of coffee, everyone else was still sleeping. I went outside with my coffee and sat down on the porch watching the sun come up over the black water swamp. All kinds of birds, flowers, and trees I'd never really seen before. To my absolute amazement, an allegator came strolling down her driveway, right past the porch completely ignoring me, and just walked on across the road.

Who is Butch-Femme.com for exactly?


Since this site has grown, there have been some discussions about who belongs here, and some questions about who this online community was created for. I will address some of the issues.


Butch-Femme.com is primarily for Butches who are into Femmes, & Femmes who are into Butches. The focus is & always has been on that whole ying/yang of the Butch-Femme dynamic. Butch-Femme.com is a public web site, of course, so we are accustomed to a variety of folks, both queer and straight folk wandering in. There are also transgendered Butches in our community who identify as male. For the most part, respectful queers who identify with other various descriptors are welcome, as long as the strong spirit of this Butch-Femme space is always honored.



I am interested in bringing folks together of course, so it is my wish that we be tolerant of individual expression and be open about the differences between us. We have seen so many Butches and Femmes alienated by one other. That's sad, because it invalidates the community we are all building by being here together.


Discussions about what consitutes a "true" Butch or a "true" Femme can devastate good people if we aren't sensitive. When people are trying to come out as Butch or Femme, egos can be raw. Maybe Butches are born & not made, but don't negate a potential brother who has had different compromises on hys own journey. And if you are a Femme, don't be afraid to say, "I can fix a car" or whatver... Everytime you say who you really are, you bring strength & support to another. If we cannot secure safe space to talk about the whole picture of who we are, we will never see the real people behind these screen names. Our "stereotypical" masculine & feminine ways are always a source for amusement in our relationships & in our community, but we aren't caricatures! We are individuals.


Our established dialogue around gender is sometimes odd to the newcomer, but there is no "company line" on Butch-Femme.com. It is empowering to discover all the adjectives: stone Butch, tg Butch, FTM, "high alpha ultra Femme", etc, but there is no heirarchy. Also, it's ok if you identify as a Lesbian or a Feminist. I do, too! Butches do not have to be male-identified to fit into Butch-Femme culture. If you identify as a Butch woman, it does not necessarily indicate that you are a soft Butch. If you were born female but consider yourself a transgendered or transexual Femme, you are welcome here. It is up to you to decide and define how you fit into Butch-Femme space. Just speak up & say who you are! Words are both emotional and political, and we do have much to talk about. All we have online are our words. Wield yours carefully. Only post comments that you would say to someone's face. This is a real community, and some day you might look that other person in the eye. You are visiting my living room. Please be gracious to my other guests.


Some folks get real protective of this little niche we call ours, but I would also ask those who frequent my site to be welcoming to new people who find their way here. The best guideline to follow is to make sure whatever you put into Butch-Femme.com is helping to build community. That was my intent in creating Butch-Femme.com. The spirit and the philosophy of this site is about COMMUNITY BUILDING. If your contributions here add to our sense of family, you are right on target.


Afterall, family is exactly who Butch-Femme.com is for.

I'm very disturbed by the levels of basterdized PC that I find sometimes on this website...particularly when it comes to butches.....and particularly in regards to butches being attacked for their level of masculinity or lack there of.

I personally have said many times that I am not a stone butch......but there are plenty of you in this thread that have met me in real life and there is nothing feminine about me. I pass for male a fair percentage of the time, I just have no desire to give up the woman that is me as well......I LIKE her.

What upsets me is this low brow tactic that people use when they use female biology as a weapon. How many times have you butches heard "Well you ain't no real butch" or something like it. Or how many times has someone purposely used female pronouns or your given name as if it's an insult? How many times has your ex taken a side-swipe at your identity in the heat of an argument? How many times have you been confronted by some modern femminazi lesbian who has a bad attitude about the butch-femme culture?

Let me tell you something...that's crap.....it's all crap

I saw worlds collide when Tex used the term "hen party"....like we haven't heard our grandmothers use that term a million times...and yet people think nothing of attacking the very core of someone's identity....and this is supposed to be ok? Where's the parity? Where is the defense of the people whom this website was created for?

When someone purposely insults a male-indentified butch by using female pronouns, or their given name, of makes any derogatory remark about the fact of the butch's biology.....THAT friends and family.....is misogyny....and it says something about their level of respect for women and where their own headspace is at.

FTMs and Transgendered people have long been here....Tell me, what do you propose to do with the FTMs? Draw a line? Say "Ok dude I know you've been a member of the community since your rosie the riveter days but you have a big boy dick now and it's time for you to run along?" We tell them their contributions and friendships meant nothing? We judge them not by who they are, but by whether or not they have a penis?

Someone explain to me exactly how that works.....because I don't get it. I don't give a rip about your orientation.....I don't need yours......I have my own to worry about.

Like we need more fluid inside our already bloated bodies...but go ahead...I triple-dog-friggen-dare-ya...See what happens and report back. I'll wait.

While you're at it, dump out the coffee at work and remove the chocolate from the vending machine. I garan-damn-tee you that the first responders will be females who are ovulating.

ok, here's some more humor.... I'd post it elsewhere, but someone out there in fn land would take offense and say I was harming animals by posting this lil bit of humor......so I posted it in here coz I know most, if not all of ya'll will appreciate this....



How To Give A Cat A Pill



If you have ever tried to give a cat a pill you know

how difficult it is. The following instructions are fool proof!





1. Pick up the cat and cradle it in the crook of your left arm
as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either
side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while
holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth.
Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.



2. Retrieve pill from floor and cat from under chair. Cradle cat
in left arm and repeat process.



3. Retrieve cat from bedroom and throw soggy pill away.



4. Take a new pill from foil wrap. Cradle cat in left arm holding
rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill
to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.



5. Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top
of wardrobe. Call spouse in from garden.



6. Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between the knees. Holding
front and rear paws, ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse
to hold cat's head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler
into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.



7. Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap.
Make a note to buy a new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully
sweep shattered figurines from hearth and set aside for gluing later.



8. Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with it's head
just visible from beneath spouse's armpit. Put pill in end of drinking
straw, force cat's mouth open with pencil and blow down straw.



9. Check label to make sure that pill is not harmful to humans. Drink
glass of water to take taste away. Apply band-aid to spouse's forearm
and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.



10.Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed. Get another pill. Place cat in
cupboard and close door onto neck to leave head showing. Force
mouth open with spoon, flick pill down throat with elastic band.



11. Fetch screwdriver from garage and put door back on hinges. Apply
cold compress to cheek and check records for last tetanus shot.
throw t-shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom.



12. Call the fire department to retrieve cat from tree across the road.
Apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid
cat. Take last pill from foil wrap.



13. Tie cat's front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly
to leg of dining room table. Find heavy duty pruning gloves from garage.
Force cat's mouth open with small trowel. Push pill into mouth followed}
by large piece of fillet steak. Hold head vertically and pour 1/2 pint
of water down throat to wash pill down.



14. Get spouse to drive you to emergency room. Sit quietly
while doctor stitches finger and forearm and removes pill remnants
from right eye. Stop by furniture store on the way home to order
a new table.



15. Arrange for vet to make housecall.

I demand that politicians and federal judges in Washington save all endangered species, except the small business man.

I feel government is imminently qualified to micro-manage nature, after all, look what a smashing job they've done with the IRS, EPA, USDA, FBI, BLM and assorted other alphabet agencies.

As a self-righteous hypocrite it is my duty to celebrate Earth Day with barbecues and parades and by leaving tons of trash behind.

I demand that feedlots and farms stop polluting our ground water. That privilege should be preserved for me every time I flush the contents of my toilet into a septic tank or the ocean.

I want to relocate grizzly bears and wolves to the West but not in my big-city backyard. After all, people live here! I give my permission for mountains lions to eat lambs but if a lion eats my dog or cat I demand the abominable beast be shot on sight.

I will cuss oil companies on talk radio and stand in the way of their drilling more wells while sitting in my gas guzzling SUV with the engine running.

I will write letters to the editor on my computer castigating utility companies for not providing enough electricity. At the same time I will send money to green groups who want to tear down hydroelectric dams and stand in the way of any new power producing projects.

I avow at the next cocktail party I attend while smoking a cigarette and sipping a martini that I will sue the tobacco companies for causing my lung cancer.

Although I have never personally milked a cow or grown vegetables in a garden I demand to have a say on how farmers and ranchers do it.

As a pompous hypocrite I demand that water, herbicides, and pesticides be taken away from farmers immediately, but I don't want it to affect the price, quantity or quality of the food I buy in the store. It is my strongly held conviction that we should ban all pesticides, except the can of bug spray I use to kill ants and other unwanted bugs in my home.

As a mealy-mouthed hypocrite I vow to help stop global warming by watching the Discovery Channel on my giant sized television in my air-conditioned house.

I assert that cattle pooping on our nation's grasslands is a national disgrace while fertilizing my urban lawn with steer manure and urea is simply good ecology. I will complain about fertilizer runoff from farms but not from golf courses because I happen to be a golfer.

I will hound hunters in the woods because they use guns despite the fact that hunting groups have increased habitat and wildlife numbers.

I demand that the government end all timber cutting or recovery in our national forests but I'll cry like a singed coyote if the feds allow wildfires to burn near my house.

As a card-carrying hypocrite I disavow the use of fur, leather, wool and all animal by-products, except the ones used in medicine that might save my life.

I demand labels be placed on all food products but not on a rock album that endorses killing cops.

Finally, as an arrogant and self-serving hypocrite I firmly believe that rural folks have done a terrible job of taking care of the countryside and they must do a better job because that's where I want to live or visit someday when I can escape the pollution, crime, and insanity of the barren big city in which I currently reside.


I demand that all commercial fishing be ended, while protecting my right to catch as many fish as I can, and sell them under-the-table to whomever I choose.
I demand that all US farmers be bought out and the land be turned over to productive use or into preserves, but reserve the right to grow as large a garden as I want and sell any surplus under-the-table to whomever I choose.

I demand that any actual farm bought out be given pennies on the dollar, since there are better uses for the money, like additional funding for the National Endowment for the Arts, which I really need and appreciate. I would also really appreciate it if, despite media news to the contrary, those farmers are forced off their land, saving taxpayers like me money.

In addition to demanding "the government end all timber cutting or recovery in our national forest," demand, as a rich hypocrite, that the timber for my new summer home be imported from countries like Russia and Indonesia since they are poor and need money.

I demand that the Federal Government raise taxes on everyone - since I can afford it, and increase the power of the IRS to collect them - including the use of deadly force, while reserving my right to hire an accounting firm to help me avoid paying them.

I demand that the government end mining in the US, as it is terribly hostile to the environment, besides those materials can be easily imported from countries like Russia and China.

I demand that the Federal Government increase the power of trial lawyers, so that I can collect more money when I contract cancer from chain smoking.

I demand that the national news media never tell me anything other than the opinions they want me to believe, else I might have to stop believing I live in a free country with an honest media.

I demand that an Amendment to the US Constitution be added, stating that it is a living document which only federally appointed Judges may interpret, as long as that interpretation reflects the views of the people as stated in the media. However, I reserve the right to do whatever I want, and if I can't, I'll sue.

I demand more high-tech surveillance cameras to catch criminals, since I always obey the law and would never do anything illegal.

I demand the government disband the entire US military establishment, since the Cold War is over. There are better uses for the money, like additional funding for the National Endowment for the Arts, which I really need and appreciate. I'm quite confident that the UN can take care of any trouble that might arise overseas or here from malcontents. All the military assets should be sold to the highest bidder like China, since they are being sold to them now piecemeal - that would add a lot of money to the Treasury which could be put to better use, like hiring more police to protect me from riff-raff like those farmers, fishermen, loggers and miners.

I demand that those malcontents who think the US Constitution is not a living document, who refuse to believe government pronouncements or the media, who want "facts," be sent to re-education camps. There they can learn to lead productive lives and be useful members of society again. This will leave lots of houses and other property for me to buy cheap, which I can then resell to them at market rate, once they emerge back into society. Of course I don't expect to have to pay for these camps - let the malcontents earn their living doing something useful like making license plates or direct sales calls - which I block. They don't need to earn much anyway.

I demand that all my demands become a required part of the national educational ciriculum, since they are reasonable and just, and make me feel good.
