I never got into it.

I will always be a Saints fan, regardless of how much they lose and the fact that a true Saints fan will complain about them, wear a paper bag on their head in bad times...but bitch and complain when they talk about moving them. They are so a part of the city and I can't wait to see them back home in the Superdome after it's all fixed up again from that bitch Katrina.

*Pads in, appreciating the quiet of the forest. This has been a rough couple of weeks....weeks hell......let's be honest......months.

Sometimes I feel like I'm running in sand......I get one thing taken care of and something else pops up. It's not a real big secret to my friends that I've been a bit off lately. Frankly, the idea of speaking in "feeling words" and "processing my emotions" is enough to make me want to gag up a hairball. I did't want to talk.

Well I hit a milestone today and while it's not the biggest thing that ever happend to the human race it sure took a load off of my mind. The evil and infamous #260 is finally completed.

I've had projects hit the skids before but never with the relish and abandon this one did. My margin blew in the first week, and it got progressively worse as the days dragged on. As soon as those union guys saw it flounder they went after it like a bunch of buzzards at the Dead Cow Cafe. I spent $27,000 in 2 days and another $6,000 before it was all over. I'm surprised there is any profit left at all.

At least I can look at it and say it honestly was not my fault, and there was nothing I could have done to prevent it or correct it. Sometimes truly, it is what it is.

Tonight I treat myself to a (d)

Tomorrow?

Well tomorrow is just going to have to wait.

Well....since Sebastian is out in the yard as we speak toiling away on the pool deck, I'm wondering if this weekend might be good to christen the new deck and fire up the can. What's everyone's feeling on it? Andi and I are dog sitting and have both of my mom's pups here (well one is a pup, the other is a coffee table with a wagging tail) so it might be a bit on the crowded side. If you don't mind that then we may have a party in the making.

Ok let's just discuss this for a moment since the subject has come up. Andi, Charlie (my bio-brother) and I were discussing pig roasts yesterday. I understand this to be about 145-150 lbs of pork.

I'd like to do it just for the hell of it......but that's a lot of meat leftover, and I ain't invitin' half the county over here. Being a city boi I don't really know about these things. What portion can you buy a pig in.....like quartered? Half? I'm trying to envision this. Can you get the spit from a rental place or do we just stick a pole up it's behind and throw it over a fire? Or are we better off just rolling out the meat cruiser and loading it up with different cuts and types of meat?
