Just a little something I found in the newspaper....that was put out by the Insurance HotLine.... LOL

HOW DOES YOUR SIGN AFFECT YOUR DRIVING?

1. LIBRA - Libras crave balance and dont like to make snap decisions; rush hour trafficis not the time for indecision.

2. AQUARIUS - Aquarians are impulsive and ruled by the planet of speed and rebellion; they need to get a better grip behind the wheel.

3. ARIES - the symbol sums it up; the ram, not a good sign for avoiding accidents.

4. PISCES - Piceans enjoy daydreaming; driving requires attention.

5. SCORPIO - The Scorpion's intinct is to get revenge; pass a Scorpio and you might get chased.

6. TAURUS - Taureans sign is the bull; they're stubborn and have the urge to charge at red lights.

7. SAGITTARIUS - This talkative group should put down the cell phones and drive.

8. CAPRICORN - The destination is often more important than the journey for the Capricorn.

9. VIRGO - Virgos have a nervous attention to detail; they might slam on their brakes to avoid hitting a squirrel, causing a 10-car pile up .

10. CANCER - They're a moody group and ready to honk for no reason.

11. GEMINI - Geminis are multitaskers; they're likely to eat, drink or read the newspaper while they're driving.

12. LEO - Leos will share the roadway; and their big egos make them want to be better drivers than others.

I have to ask......about the healing energy I mean. How does one "send healing energy"? What is it exactly? How does it help? How is it different from prayer?

I've seen this phrase alot around this site.

I know what it sounds like, but I don't know exactly what it means.

One concentrates their energy on the person and their need..... Simple as that you are sending them good healing energy.... How does it not help would be a question to ask yourself.... I dunno how it differs from prayer....

http://www.healingenergy.com.au/energetic_healing.shtml (http://www.healingenergy.com.au/energetic_healing.shtml)

That link talks about energetic healing.

"Energetic healing facilitates the healing process by clearing blocks in the energy fields, repairing and rebalancing the energy so that the body can move to its optimal level of balance from where it is able to access its inherent ability to heal itself."

In Reiki people actually do give healing energy to other people. When I hear someone say they are sending healing energy I interpret it as they are sending thoughts of healing energy their way! A thought isn't necessarily a prayer although it can be.

Someone more familiar with this probaby could do a better job of explaining.

Ok let's talk about this. How do you do it physically? I know, from my own perspective, that we often say things to people like, "I'll keep you and your family in my prayers" I don't know how many people actually do it.

So we talk about "sending healing energy"......how exactly is this done? Let's say that you sit down to actually perform this act.....tell me the steps, what your thinking, how it feels......etc.....I'm curious now......I want to know.

Dear SnowBitch,

Unfortunately, it is against North Pole Policy to bestow gifts upon people who can't spell said gift properly. (hippopotamus).

That I really don't know :s It's not something I do on purpose. Was just trying to answer your question from my perspective.

If I have ever typed it for me it is prayers, but I usually just type you are in my thoughts because I don't like to say I'm praying for someone and not do it. It doesn't mean I don't do it, I just won't commit to something like that when I know I may forget.

All i know is I have had people do reiki on me and muscle testing and that all has to do with energy. I don't get it but some of it works.

Didn't anyone send you the memo? Requests for butches are to be rendered to Ms. Claws, not Santa..She refuses to guarantee that they arrive in..well, "pristine" condition, or on time..actually, she was about 25 years late with mine..that notwithstanding, she surely brought the "right one"..;)

And the angel said unto them, Fear not, for behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you this day is born in the City of Bethlehem, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.

And this shall be a sign unto you; you shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. Ok.....we all have music that we identify as "us".....specific songs that we feel describes us to the world, comforts us when we are stressed or in pain, shouts out our joy when we are happy........

What songs speak to who you are and why?

For me I love the following two and they are my theme songs more than any other I've come across over the years.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0VzPzA906M (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0VzPzA906M)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lubiruamX6k (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lubiruamX6k)

There are songs from before.....when I was in a very dark place. These two songs though, are from after what I call my "re-birth". The long journey that I began almost 7 years ago that has led me to the place I am now. Better, stonger, more true to myself than I have ever been in my life. It's amazing to reach this point, and I still revel in the power I feel when I reach out an embrace myself.

These songs to me are a celebration of the freedom you feel standing on a mountain top with your nose in the wind watching the sunset and knowing that your life is not half over, but has only just begun.

I have to ask......about the healing energy I mean. How does one "send healing energy"? What is it exactly? How does it help? How is it different from prayer?

I've seen this phrase alot around this site.

I know what it sounds like, but I don't know exactly what it means.

I start with a prayer of healing and an intention of love and goodness for that person...it is usually specific to the person and what is happening...I call in my guides, angels, and theirs...

I have taken a few classes in energy healing... so it depends on the type of energy healing you are sending...for pranic healing...you visualize in your mind taking the negative energy out and releasing it to the universe. Then when you 'feel' that enough has been done, you place your hand over it and place energy from the universe and the earth into the area. You can use different colors depending on what is directed. Sometimes I go thru this process a couple of times. Then I stablize the area with lite blue energy with three swipes of this energy over the area. (okay this was a simple explanation)

Sometimes I infuse their whole aura in a big egg bubble with white loving light, encapsulated I ask for some specific healing thy will be done.

Sometimes I take them into a workshop I was taught to visualize, Mother Moonshine and Jesus as a carpenter are there LOL...but that is a longer story...:)

Sometimes I use someone else's body as a substitute person...Like for Liz's mom I would use Liz..it helps me focus better. The intention would be for comfort and peace.

When her mom was going thru radiation it could have burned her esophagas so I gave her a visualization to help her protect it. For her it was a glass tube that protected her esophagas that shined bright white and bounced off the radiation. It was something she could understand. The radiation was to her lungs and the tumor very close to her esophagas. When she was in radiation each day for six weeks and I would close my eyes and visualize the same thing for her to strengthen her visualization.

Different things for different people...this is just how I do it...I am sure it varies depending how the person is taught.

I simply visualize white light encircling the person... prayer is an amazing thing, no matter how it is done (l)

Hmm, good question wolf.

I guess the answer is a more varied one as that people tend to look at prayer/positive thought differently.

There really isn't one concrete answer.

The phrase "sending healing thoughts/energies" can be as loosely translated as to just offering up thoughts/prayers to a creator being/god...clear into those thoughts being sent directly to the person as a wave of healing energy.

I guess the key would have to be in the persons believing energy transferral. And the power of healing through positive thought.

Wether or not you look at it through the spiritual filter or not......it all takes faith and belief.

Just my $2.02 worth.

I understand prayer to be speaking to God, and, in this case, asking for something to happen. Is this the same thing or is it simply "willing and believing" it to happen through the belief of postive energy transference?

Well I am sure that there are those who think they are one and the same. Just as easily as there are those who think they are different. I personally don't really have a stance on the similiairy/difference. A healing warm thought be it from prayer or just energy transferral is still a healing warm thought.

And honestly as to your second question, that would highly depend on the belief systems of the person sending out those thoughts/prayers.

However I do have a question of my own. Okay so you personally take paryer to be a conversation with "god" (mind you I am using the quotations for my own level of comfort, not to discredit anyone's religious or personaly views), then I ask you, who is a person who doesn't believe in "god" per se talking to when they pray?

Not trying to be a jerk here, so please don't take my question as such, just trying to engage a thought provoking (if not for others than for me) convo.

Andi.....*Starts laughing
Wolf....."What? Your laughing at my inner-most shame? See, I was afraid of this. They told me to be ready for it at the 12 step program but I didn't think it would cut so deeply."

The honest answer is that I don't know bubba.

Your question reminded me of the movie Major League in the scene in which Eddie Harris finds Pedro, who practices voodoo, saying prayer to Jesus. Eddie says, "Oh sure, now you want his help."

I always found it interesting, and I am genuinely not mocking anyone here, this is just an observation, that some people who are not particularly active in one faith or another use phrases like "I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers" or "I said a quick prayer." or some other routine reference to praying or communicating with God.

Do you think that it is that ingrained in our society that reposnses like that are automatic and we don't even think about what we are saying? Like other popular cliched phrases like "It ain't over till it's over". Or do you think that somewhere viscerally maybe we are connected to a faith that we do not even consciencally recognize?

Ok, ya want a sample of how a choutic wolf thinks? Some have read this before (maybe) and others have knot (possibly). But i was asked to post this so i will.
Knots sense
by chaous
(Warning: Please make sure to read title above. That should really
explain it all but in case it doesn't....This posting might be
confusing, offending, amusing, Etc. Whatever it happens to be at the
tyme of happening, just wait five miniutes and it will change. If this
worries you then read no farther. But you are reading at your own
risk, certainly knot at my risk. My risk is in the writings, yours in
the reading.)

my horrorscope said, the past is done with so move on. That got me to
thinking. What if the past isn't done with? And what quailifies as the
past? i can't remember what i had for breakfast this morning so in my
mind i either, a: didn't have breakfast or b: wasn't worth
remembering. In my mind they both amount to the same thing. If i don't
remember then it didn't happen. So better to think ahead, whats for lunch?
i consider everything i'm done with, and or don't remember as the
past. So if the past is done with, then of course you have moved on. i
myself have moved on to whats for lunch.
Seems to me that horrorscope statement is kinda like when ya fynd
something ya lost. Well if ya found it, then it isnt lost. Lost things
you dont fynd. Temporarily misplaced maybe but knot lost.
That of course now brings us to knot knots.
i wouldn't knot do something three tymes. Three tymes because the
fyrst two tymes don't count. But then if they don't count, then ya
wouldn't knot do something once. Ya see the fyrst tyme ya haven't any
idea weather ya like it or knot so ya do it again. The second tyme is
when ya decide if ya like it or knot. The third tyme is to make sure
your second opinion was correct.
You with me so far?
So now if ya say "i wouldn't do it three tymes", would mean ya might
do it twice. But if ya wouldn't knot do it three tymes, ya would.
That should at least clear it all up.
Now i was asked if it was possible to go backwards and knot knot do
something.Well yes and no. No because the now that is the and you
have moved on. So you might knot knot miss out on something. But it
just might come up again, in witch case you can now remake the
decision to knot knot do whatever it is ya knot did before. But it
would also depend upon witch order it happens in.
History has a tendency to repete itself if ya didn't learn what it was
you weren't knot supposed to learn the fyrst tyme. But it doesn't
allways repete itself in chronological order.
But now if ya didn't wouldn't knot knot do it the fyrst tyme or three,
you take the chance of it knot knot happening at a further date in
witch you would then have your second chance. Unless the second chance
becomes the fyrst witch would make this statment wrong.
Like i said, it would really depend upon the order of it all.
*hands out asprin*
So if history repetes itself that brings us back to the fyrst
question, witch is as follows....
What if the past isn't done with yet and how do you know?
o.k. so maybe the second question is new, but then again maybe it
isn't. It all depends upon the order in witch it may have happened
before, but this of course might be the fyrst tyme in happening. Sense
i can't remember, then as far as i'm concerned, this is the fyrst
happening. So the questions stand.

More issues with the wizard......

1. We know where the yellow brick road goes to......where does the red brick road lead?
2. There is a witch of the North, West, and East......what about the witch of the south, What, is she too good for her sisters?
3. Am I the only one who would have pulled Glenda's tiara off when I found out all I had to do is ask to go home? What? She couldn't have said that to begin with?
4. What didn't Scarecrow carry a personal fire extinguisher?
5. One further, why didn't the Tin Man have a can of WD-40? If he knew he couldn't stay in the rain why didn't he leave when it started raining?
6. If I were Auntie Em.....I'd have let that mean old woman have it
7. The ruby slippers took Dorothy home, the witch was already home, what she want them for?

Ya know I do kinda understand that...scary...maybe you should have your own thread of stories and people can just come in there and read if they dare to ponder... (stories are powerful metaphors ya know, and I know you do)

Um does that mean we will have another Bush for President or are we done with Bushes in Power because JW was the third counting Jeb in FL and now we are done with our lesson of 3? Hmmmmmmmmmm makes you think.....

thanks for posting! :)

8. In a bar brawl who would win...Munchkins or Oompa-Loompas?
9. Why couldn't the wizard land the damn balloon and pick Dorothy up?
10. Isn't that still the most kick ass movie twister ever?

Now I could answer all these questions, but they were kinda rhetorical, weren't they? (Skipping down the road paved with good intentions, toward the south for a vacation to get a tan, on a journey to understand my self, left my extinquisher in my kitchen and my wd-40 with my umbrella, thinking about my own Auntie who still holds to the conventions of politeness of years back, knowing magic is differert depending on the person that beholds it, avoiding the incompetence of a false male wizard, thinking I still have nightmares of that scary twister!!!!!!) :)

Leason of three? But if the first two didnt count then i would knot knot think we have a few more to go, unless of course it happened previously, or this could possibly be the first happening in witch case we might knot knot need to start over. But then again it might have started in the middle witch in that case makes it two and then it wouldn't count. But maybe this will help....with abject apologies to the immortal bard.
To be, or knot to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The to and fro of outrageous chronology,
Or to take arms against a knot of temporal incongruities,

(and one must wonder whose arms and why they left them laying about
in order to be taken..but I digress)

And by opposing end them? To die: to be;
or not to be; or was that used to be and will be again.
(or wasn't and will knot)
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. Breakfast that was missed;

To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
(which of course they warn if you do you, blind you will be - but
being asleep it wouldn't matter much either way, so why the
warning .. but once again I do but digress)

For in that knot of sleep what dreams may come (or knot)
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,

(my mum always warned "shuffle knot, or you will fall." and sure as
knot, off this coil we fell - moral of the story - be knot heedless
of your materfamilias)

Must give us pause: was it happenstance or knot
That makes calamity of so long a life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Of knot knowing if the past's moved on, or knot
The pangs of desired past, the law's delay
(now theres a temporal incongruity if ever they was one, is it knot),
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,'
(too much rubbing in one's sleep I suspect)

But that the dread of something after breakfast,
That undiscover'd country from whose bourn
No traveller returns, except for lunch, (but that's knot another
story)
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know knot of?
(and if you have ever had breakfast on the fly, will understand what
ills imposed by airlines in the early hours really are)

Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of irresolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great knotty philosophy,
With this regard their throughts turn awry,
And lose the name of action. - Soft you now!

You are here and the forest around you
Wherever you are is here
Deep inside the home that you have found safety in
It's love surrounding you always
The forest breathes and embraces us
Listen and it will answer you
When you are far away
We have made this place to find again
If you leave it, it will be here for you to come back to
The trees are home to Raven
The riverbottom warmth to Tiger
On the ridges, Wolf roams wild
In the sky Eagle soars high
If you are lost, you have only to stand still stand still
The forest knows where you are
And your family will find you

I watched the '85 Superbowl in a tiny barracks-room in Germany a day late....and it was the only football game I saw that year so this is way cool for me. Fire up the grill honey, we're havin' horse-burgers tonight!!!

Go Bears

I watched the 85' Bears in a Bar in La Crosse Wisconsin with it filled to the brim with Packer fans. The other team would make a play and the place would go wild. The Bears would make a play and I would go wild...not that I like to live dangerously...LOL my woosie bf at the time almost had a heart attack. He kept on saying "calm down you are gonna get me killed". So I LOOK like I can be calmed down? It was a total rush. (sorry chaous, nothing against wisconsin, I loved going to school there...just the packers...:) )

That's actually not true little brother......the only game we lost in '85 was to the Dolphins.

It is a well known fact that the Packers and Bears make up the oldest rivalry in the NFL, having faced each other in over 171 games. The Packers and Bears only post season game was in 1941 (sorry, the Packers lost).

The Bears and the Packers have played 171 games against each other in NFL history and the Bears are ahead in the rivalry 87-78 with 6 ties.

Despite not having a winning record against the Bears overall, the Packers have still won more World Championships than the Bears, and more Super Bowls than the Bears.

7,095,090 fans from both sides have watched these teams battle it out on the frozen tundra of the midwest.

Three football fans were out for a ride when one noticed a foot sticking out of the bushes by the side of the road.
They stopped and discovered a nude female, passed out drunk.
Out of respect and propriety, the Packers fan took off his cap and placed it over her right breast.

The Vikings fan took off his cap and placed it over her left breast.

Following their lead, but with some grumbling, the Bears fan took off his cap and placed it over her girly part.

The police were called and when the officer arrived, he conducted his inspection.

First, he lifted up the Packers cap, replaced it, and wrote down some notes.
Next, he lifted the Vikings cap, replaced it, and wrote down some more notes.
The officer then lifted the Bears cap, replaced it, then lifted it again, replaced it, lifted it a third time, and replaced it one last time.

The Bears fan was becoming annoyed and finally asked, "What are you, a pervert or something? Why do you keep lifting and looking, lifting and looking? "

"Well," said the officer, "I am simply surprised. Normally when I look under a Bears hat, I find an asshole."
