to organizing this feature.
One
of the most special aspects of an online community is
the way in which its members find to bridge the chasm
of cyberspace and meet "in real time." When
Butches and Femmes hook up, the meeting is charged with
an indescribable energy.
Sometimes
Butch-Femme gatherings are purposefully "over the
top." It is a way of celebrating ourselves, and
it is called Slut Night. Butch-Femme.com Slut Night
is sweeping the nation … from its humble beginnings
in San Francisco a couple of years back, to a coast-to-coast
trend that's moved across the country to New York, down
to DC, north to Portland. The tradition of Slut Night
will be observed this fall in Dallas, in Provincetown,
MA and in Kansas City, MO. Slut Night (in all of its
variously named incarnations) is truly becoming a Butch-Femme.com
"family" tradition!.
What
is the Slut Night phenomenon all about? Are there rules
or suggestions for carrying on the tradition? How did
Slut Night come to be anyway? The Official Butch-Femme
